“Absolutely Delicious, Must Try”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Very fresh seafood, possibly directly caught from the sea the day before. Best seafood ever had in Kangaroo Island..

Missed the chance to try their coffee, heard it's good..

Ambience, cleanliness, staff's friendliness are all top-top.

The only cons is just slightly costly..
But still.. Will definitely come back for seafood again when I'm to visit Kangaroo Island.

“Unique and tasty...perfect combo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

When you drive up to the cafe you expect to get the same food and service as other beach shack cafés however its anything but! The food is amazing and the service more so...try the seafood cone...you will not be disapointed! Be warned though...its huge...

“An unexpected gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

Came across this quite unexpectedly during our travels around Kangaroo Island. Located on Stokes Bay a short walk through the rocks to the rock pool after which I assume it is named. A short menu of mainly seafood, were were actually looking for sandwiches, but quite happily settled for spiced grilled calimari and excellent chips. There is a basic camping area adjacent to the cafe.

“Unexpected delight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Located in the beautiful Stokes Bay area, it was lunch time so we thought we would give it a go. The menu is nicely limited and mostly seafood. But as a non seafood eater I still couldn't go past the seafood cone. A mixture of fresh and frozen seafood, all beautifully cooked and cleverly presented. The salad was in the cone as well and also wondefully fresh. The choice of drinks is limited- soft drinks are purchased from a vending machine but I washed mine down with a lovely cider. Only wish I had had room to try something else as well.

“Cafe just footsteps from the perfect beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

A great spot for some food or drink after enjoying the amazing beach. For the beach, follow the signs through a path that tunnels through the rocks to the hidden bay. The cafe is near the car park and camping site. The ambiance is very much rustic beach and the staff laid back and friendly. Its a long journey to get here, but well worth the drive.
