Jo and Terry we absolutely wonderful people. We came here as part of a tour and because we were running late they were kind enough to wait to feed the kangaroos until we got there. And I'm thrilled. It was about 46 degrees in Coober Pedy that day so the kangas loved licking our salty hands when we arrived. How could one not fall under the spell of a kangaroo kiss?! When they brought out the small joeys our hearts just melted. I could have stowed one away in my pack....just kidding! Anyhow, the gallery is also amazing with some fantastic and authentic aboriginal art. So save some of your travel money for this stop it's definitely worth it and what better souvenir to bring back then a beautiful piece of art!!! It's not a pretentious gallery but everything is priced fairly with a large selection to choose from. And if the piece is too cumbersome (such as a didgeridoo) they will ship it back home for you! Talk to Terry he may and make him an offer...it never hurts! And remember this place is run by the donations of kind people like yourselves. If you are going to feed the roos then remember to leave a little something behind. Every little bit helps and you won't find two kinder and more generous people willing to share all they have to protect and help an iconic emblem of Australia! Cheers
