“BBC: OK, but not great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2013

Went with a large group for a fixed-price meal. This cut down the choices available - which was fine - but my steak was not of of the best quality, and wasn't cooked the way I would have chosen (one size fits all). As a dish, it just lacked interest, and just sat there. The Indian tasting plate entree was better - and HUGE - but the 2 desserts, both of which I tried, were a bit disappointing. The service was quick and friendly, however.

“Reminded me of when I lived in Asia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

The atmosphere is set as soon as you walk in the door. The decor is British colonial with the inevitable Asian influence. I love the posh feel and the exotic oriental touch. The food is delicious and varied allowing for those who prefer western and those who prefer something more spicy. I felt a bit of nostalgia having lived in Asia for some years.

the atmosphere is fantastic, food brilliant if a little pricey - I love the sounds of the jungle when in the bathroom

This place is fantastic. The meals are a good size although not really cheap whilst not being overly expensive. Great place for celebrations

“Disappointing as both a pub and Indian restaurant”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

The bar is fantastic, but unfortunately that is where the good experience ends. The restaurant served mediocre pub food at best (the parmigiana was overcooked and dry with too much tomato on the topping) and the Indian food was bland. The naan bread was far from the traditional naan served at even the dodgiest takeaway shops. The service was also extremely slow. Drinks had to be requested more than once, and it took 25 minutes to clear our plates after we had finished our mains, so we had no intention of ordering dessert by that time. Very disappointing.
