“Will stay here again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2014 via mobile

After reading some pretty worrying reviews about this. Park management I was very dubious about staying here, so I was ready for the so called rude man in the golf cart. On booking in I found the ladies in the office didn't smile much but were fairly friendly, but when going back to ask for bus direction and so on the older lady went out of her way to help. Now the man in the golf cart I was worried about but their were TWO of them, and the one that helped us back in our van was extremely helpful., I would think he was the elder of the two.always a smile and wave when he drove past . No grass but that was good because it rained and the stones don't make a mess. The shower and toilet block were modern and very clean with good showers. There was a pool at the front which looked very inviting but we didn't have a swim. There was some sort of construction work going on close by but certainly didn't bother us at all.Fairly close camping, but still room to put out our awning. Good park nice staff, if I'd believed those reviews that said otherwise I would have missed this park. I will stay in this park again for sure..

We stayed two nights over a weekend in a powered site located on the east side of the park away from the adjoining construction site, but in any case there was no noise due to it being a weekend.

The staff were welcoming and the friendly gent in the golf cart helped us back in and pointed out the amenities.

The park is so close to the CBD and the laundry and facilities are top notch. We are going back in a few days for another stay.

Room Tip: Chose at site on the east side, we were at site 34

We have been in this park for 3 nights with another 4 nights before heading back to Perth. This park would be one of the most peaceful parks we have stayed in with friendly efficient staff and very clean facilities with the bonus of being within walking distance to the CBD.

We travelled from Melbourne with our caravan in tow and found the staff to be very helpful and courteous, we were guided onto our site under shady trees and once set up went to discover Adelaide, it is not to far to walk through the Botanical Gardens into the city or if you arrive for New Years Eve then you can simply walk into the fireworks show. We had a great time and will return again, thank you to all the staff for your help.

We enjoyed our stay at the Adelaide Caravan Park and would use these facilities again. The chalets are old but well maintained and clean. Good value, close to city and zoo. You must try the Old Bakery Cafe just up the road from the Park with it's delicious pastries, sandwiches and cakes.

After reading the reviews I was a little wary of choosing this park, but when the next closest to the city was fully booked we decided to chance it. Reception was efficient if not friendly, and we were guided into our position but a chatty fellow in a golf cart. The first thing we noticed was the noise coming from a construction site which backs onto the caravan park . Earth moving equipment and trucks start at 7 am each week day, unpleasant but tolerable because of the other pluses for this park. The new female bathroom was only completed 2 weeks ago so sparkling clean and a pleasure to use. Only 1 hook in each cubicle, and a mop but no bucket, so not sure of the purpose of the mop! The male bathrooms are old but clean! A 20 minute walk along the track by the river takes you past the zoo and into the heart of the city, or take a short bus ride. Either way access to the CBD is brilliant. The park is well located to get to other attractions around the city. I would recommend this park when visiting Adelaide.

This is a lovely shaded park, very close to the city, Rundle Mall and other shopping centres, backs onto the Torrens River. Great walking/bike path. Has free BBQ's, new shower blocks, and laundry. Everything about this park is immaculate. Very nice, helpful staff. We have stayed here before and highly recommend it.
