I stayed here for business, could absolutely stay for pure pleasure. Location is excellent, price is spot on for what you receive. Nothing to complain about. I got the suite which I think is worth the extra, but not necessary. Food is worth the room price.

For a recent romantic weekend away we stay at this hotel. To start with the good points, yes, a lovely french style street presence, the room, and bathroom, were clean and in good condition, the bed was pretty comfortable, maybe slightly firm, but did provide a good night's sleep together with the quietness of the room, the staff were helpful and polite at all times, the room service meals were a good standard and the breakfast was nice and had good variety as well.

I am not so sure what they rate themselves but for me I would classify it as just 4 star, and no more. I booked a deal for an upgrade to a deluxe room which I was hoping would have a bit more style about it but it felt more like a utilitarian room for business men to stay over rather than anything overtly stylish or romantic.

The not quite so good, the room I had at least looked directly at an office block across a lane way, house keeping only half did out room failing to replace any of the towels or shower gels etc, little things too like the bath plug which looked like it cost 73 cents from Bunnings, and just lacked any great zuzsh !

As long as you are expecting 4 star, this is a nice hotel

I stayed here on holiday and it has some really great features - lovely art deco style decor, fantastic buffet breakfast (the best I've ever seen & I've seen a few). The rooms had everything you need and really nothing that I could complain about ( and I'm pretty fussy). The staff were very friendly and helpful which was an added bonus so all round, a big tick from me.

Firstly, the building is not old, or tired. It was built only 15 years ago on the site of an old newspaper building that burned down.
The decor has been chosen to reflect an olde worlds French hotel. If you want modern, there are hotels in Adelaide that can deliver that. The rooms are perhaps the cleanest I have ever seen in a hotel of this calibre, ad the staff are a amazing.
The breakfast offering has quite rightly won many accolades, and the dinner restaurant is quite smart too.

This is well located across from the conference centre, railway station and tram stop. Its an old building with no view from most rooms (except onto a laneway ) but its quiet and my room appeared to have been recently renovated. Great little bar/ coffee shop for breakfast and the dinner is also recommended with local produce. Staff were wonderful and friendly.

Both my Husband and I managed to get away and we had a fabulous time staying and being part of Sebel. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Lots of smiles from everyone that we came into contact with. What we enjoyed the most was dinning in thier restaurant which was superb with the meals being first class. Thank you to eveyone, great effort!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013 via mobile

Very impressed with the staff, the warm welcome, the fabulously good value 'winter warmer' package of $159 night, free drink, espresso and wi-fi. Quiet room, slept well and a great view....of an office next door (very close to my window).

Liked the gym equipment and choice at breakfast was good. The downsides? Well, I can't see how it's five star (compared to the premium decor in somewhere like the Westin Sydney or Hyatt in Melbourne). Decor is a little seventies (but then isn't that typically an Adekaide/Aussie hotel thing!) and room felt a bit dated. Otherwise, a pleasant stay that exceeded expectation in terms of service, but didn't reach expectation in terms of aesthetic.
