“Ship Ahoy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2015 NEW

Great informative museum where you can actually board a sailing ship and also go below deck. If you are interested in the history of Australia and experience onboard during those years this is an excellent place to put yourself into the real experience.

“Never boring”

Been there many times, always something new to see. The place is deceptively large, looks small from the street, great for families of all ages

“One of the better maritime museums”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 30, 2015

An excellent visit with many personal stories from migrants who arrived by sea.
Fascination details of life under sail included medical procedures, food, and life aboard ship when sailing over a hundred days from the U K to Australia - 18,000 miles via the Great Circle route.
Well worth a visit.
In addition, not far from the museum you can see the remains of the clipper ship 'City of Adelaide', brought to S. Australia after being rescued from a slipway in Scotland.

“Little space packs a punch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2015

It might not be the biggest museum you will visit but with three levels of interactive displays, this place is jam packed full of really interesting information. Even visiting on a day with a pretty big school group, we were able to find plenty of quiet corners and move to displays where they were not buzzing around. Great value at just $10 and even less if you visit more than one of the other museums in the same street.
