“Dependable”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

No matter how many times I have visited Scoozi over the years it is always dependable. The quality of food is good, the menu remains the same but is extensive, the wait staff are pleasant, prices are reasonable. Sure the table placement is designed to fit the maximum number of dinners into the space and you do need to order drinks and meals at the counter but I cannot remember ever being turned away regardless of how busy the restaurant is. Also take away is available, but phone ahead as there can be quite a wait.

“Bit like a canteen food hot and ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

Looks good when u go in u find that u basically have to do everything yourself other than bring the food to the table - you order and pay at the back and you even have to order your own drinks. Food was average but eatable - probably wouldn't use again

“Bad Overpriced Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2013

For lovers of good Italian Cucina Povera this is a place to avoid. There is no table service except for foor delivery - unlike the rest of Australia and the rest of the world this medium-priced café requires you to queue at a counter to order and pay for your food then queue at another counter to pick up your drinks/wine - this is not unique to this café, and seems to be an Adelaidean quirk. Wines are reasonably priced and there is a good selection, and it is very interesting, often comical, to people watch here in the evenings, with 2 questionable nightclubs, one above the café, one below the cafe (questionable when you see the kind of customers entering the said nightclubs)
Don't bother sittitng inside because its like a very loud airport cafeteria with tables jammed closely together - you will need a hearing aid to hear your dining partner/friends and will need to shout at them for them to hear you
Food - very bad Cucina Povera with Aussie twists like BBQ sauce on pizzas, pitted olives on pizzas, in salads - also expensive Cucina Povera - but again this is typical of Adelaide and not just this café

“Middle of The Road”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

The food in Adelaide is exceptional, Scoozi was not. The Italian theme was a little out of place and the atmosphere did not feel authentic. I had decent rosotto con pollo (miss pronounced by every employee). That being said, the restaurant was inexpensive, which can be hard to find in this town.

“Best coffee and best breakfast I had in Adelaide”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

I tried the breakfasts in all three establishments around scoozi and a couple in norwood and I have to say the scoozi won hands down.

The coffee was pretty perfect too, certainly the best I had on my trip to Adelaide.

The only downside to the place is it doesn't post its opening hours and it seems to open when it feels like it. That's the reason it only gets 4 stars and why I ended up trying the other places around there until I gave up trying to guess when it would open and went elsewhere for breakfast.

A visit any time after 10 am and I'd recommend this place though.
