I ordered a Penang Char Kuey Teow as a take-away dish, along with two spring rolls. The other reviewer is correct - The prices are very reasonable, and an option to consider for budget diners.
While the spring rolls were fine, the Penang Char Kuey Teow was decent, but a bit strange. The colour, for one, was just the white hor fun. Normally, when I order Penang Char Kuey Teow, the noodles are brown (even if it's a light brown) in colour, but it was white and looked like it had been wok-tossed like that. There was a lot of chilli added, which I expected, but not to that extreme. Having said all that, the dish itself was quite nice. What was a definite let-down though is the portion size. When I ordered take-away at some restaurants in Chinatown, they filled the take-away container to the top, but, at this restaurant, there was still quite a bit of empty space in the container, so, while a good price, I guess I expected the contained to actually be filled to the top.
It's a shame I was on my own, as I think it'd be great to try different dishes. Would I go back? Yes, but, perhaps, order a different noodle dish next time, and it is probably of better value to dine in, rather than to get take-away if you want more bang for your buck!
