I was very disappointed with skydiving airlie beach.
I booked in advance and provided all of the details requested, including weight, only to arrive and be told that I was too heavy.
When I said how disappointed I was, I was patronised about the safety aspects, offered no apology (the closest I got was a shrug) and blamed for not reading my conformation email properly (they claimed that the weight limit was included). We checked the conformation email there and then and they were forced to admit that it didn't contain the information- still no apology.
I think that they were trying to pacify me, by offering me a passenger ride in the plane with my friends who were still jumping, which would have helped, until she said she would charge me $100 for simply riding along! I found this insulting.
All of this aside, the organisation was poor. There was a hot, cramped waiting room where we had to wait for 2.5 hours after the jump time that we booked, which kind of dampened the excitement a bit.
Also, they claim on the website that you "skydive onto the beach" however it turn out that this is almost never the case, most of the time the drop zone is the airport where the plane takes off from, and sometimes it is a 30min drive inland.
The only element that I was impressed with was the instructors themselves, who were friendly, reassuring and professional. The organisation/management really lets it down.
Overall-very poor. Do it elsewhere and save your money for something better.
I'm not in the habit of moaning about everything I do (read my other reviews) but I would seriously suggest avoiding this company.
