“Faultless experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

We've just stayed here for 3 nights and wish we could stay for longer. We were met at Hamilton airport by a yacht to transfer us to the Hayman Island. We were escorted to our room by Willow who gave us an excellent run down of the resort. The following day we used the seaplane to take us to the breathtaking Whitehaven beach and back. On our second day we took the jet ski tour and saw turtles and rays. During the stay we ate at all the restaurants except Fire and had some of the best food I've had during my stay in Australia. The staff are extremely attentive, Joel especially made our dining experience extra special. The stay was capped off by a helicopter transfer back to the airport. The resort is by no means cheap but worth every penny. Can't wait to return.

It is a beautiful hotel with amazing surroundings, but the service is not up to standard. The room we stayed was a pool suit, the current online price is Aud1500 per night. However, the service is not match to this price. The room was not cleaned properly each day. I put a empty coke on the table in the room when I arrived, and it had not been removed from that table even when I departed. The empty bottles of the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel were not removed each day, so the shelf in the shower room was packed in the last day of our stay. The washing table was still dirty after a room service. The bath had hairs when we arrived. There is no mesh to prevent the flies so we counld not leave the window open to get oceam breeze. The hotel staff is not the same standard, but most of them are friendly.

One and Only is amazing. It's so calm and relaxing. We received excellent service and attention. The staff is so friendly. The food is great- try the chef's table and teppanyaki. Every room has an ocean view and is gorgeous. You can walk to the other side of the island and snorkel in the reef from the beach. They offer a helicopter flyover of the Great Barrier Reef- a must do.

A magical destination. We had the pleasure of attending a wedding here. The location is beautiful and the staff and service very welcoming. We had a wonderful room however this is a costly resort and comes with high expectations. The transfer boat from Hamilton sets the mood with champagne on arrival, so I was surprised to find sand in our shower & mould in the grout & our room not serviced until after 2 pm. Not one to complain about such small things I cleaned this and got on with enjoying the resort. Some guests however may expect more & voice their concerns. I for one was too busy enjoying the facilities such as the beautiful pools and water activities. The wait staff at breakfast and the buffet are fantastic and so were the staff at the wedding we attended on the resort. I'd love to go back soon but I'll have to save my $$$!

We recently stayed at One & Only Hayman, and had an amazing time!

From the moment you step on to the private boat transfer, are handed an ice cold drink, you are in paradise. Intuitive, friendly, and attentive service, from the check in staff to the indispensable personal Butler who attended to our every need.

The recent renovation has polished the rooms to a world class standard, many of them twice the size of the last time I stayed at Hayman, a huge range of restaurants & bars, water activities, and the two huge pools.

We will be back!

The best place to relax and do nothing! we were here to celebrate our wedding anniversary, its a perfect place for it. we chose to come here because we thought it will be more exclusive and not so many children instead of Fiji or Raro
But the resort was full during our stay it was very busy full of families and kids because of the school holiday!! we were here for 5 nights and had problem with dining out, we couldn't book into dinner until after 8.30pm during our stay and can never get into the time that we wanted to! not all restaurant are open every night, ( which they should when it's full house) one of the night we booked for dining under the star and our name wasn't on the list when we turn up it was embarrassing! we thought this would be something special to do, it was the activity desk that recommended to us and also had booked for us. the staff at the restaurant had told us that this happens quite often! the management need to get this sorted.
The food price at the Fire restaurant was over priced we were still feeling hungry after dessert, we had entrées and the whole fish for two ($140.00) a bit small for two for main which was tasteless with a few stalk of broccolini, had to order extra broccoli and paid extra.
I must say the Spanish restaurant is the best for lunch or afternoon bites and the food was exceptional! the staffs there were amazing we cant find any faults.
over all we had a great time staying here a part from bad dining experiences the resort was very clean and well maintained.

Room Tip: view to the sea

I recently stayed that one & only Hayman island resort, having stayed there previously before the renovation i and high expectations considering what i have heard, those expectations were knocked for six.

the pick up at Hamilton island was faultless and friendly, causing over to the island, drinking Champagne, big tick, and what an amazing ride.

we we're met at the dock by the friendly team and before you knew it, was in our beautiful appointed room, modern and clean. next the pool and more importantly was the pool bar,

food and drink were great , but to me the real standout was the team on the island, down to earth , relaxed service, just what you want on a Australian Island resort.

i can't wait to come back again,

big thanks to Luke ( Hotel GM) and Elena & Cameron the food & Beverage, you made my stay

i will be back ( try stop me)
