“Go the seafood platter!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2011

It was $220 for 2 - but easily fed the four of us - great feed - and loved the fresh & fried seafood. Definitely a great night out!

“Perfect”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2011

This was my favourite dining venue. Ten diners ordered 6 different dishes, all were excellent. Staff were excellent and managed to walk the fine line of being both relaxed and very professional.

MAKE SURE YOU BOOK! We booked the week before we went and I was really glad we did.

“lovely night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2011

We went here for my birthday and we were very pleased with the food, ambience, staff and overall presentation of the restaurant.

Hamilton island can be expensive, particularly compared to the value you would get from restaurants back home, but if you are prepared to pay the extra to go out for a nice dinner then I think you will be pleasantly suprised.

“Not worth the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2011

Was looking forward to this for a birthday dinner, as many reviewers had raved about the "fantastic" seafood - coming from Sydney with great seafood markets at the doorstep, this restaurant was a let down. Very ordinary choice of entrees - we chose prawn cocktail and sashimi, neither anything special. . My main course of barramundi with Kipfler sounded wonderful but turned out to be a grilled barramundi fillet place skin side up on a thick bed of mashed potato (where is the originality, one wonders). My husband's tagliatelli with seafood was like soup. The dessert sorbet selection was the best part of the meal. Very predictable and ordinary food for a very hefty price. We also had an "in your face" young waiter who constantly interrupted us, enquiring about the food standard etc and chattering about himself. This restaurant has pretensions of fine dining, but is a mediocre restaurant in a nice casual marina area. Either uplift the menu and service or make it a bit more casual perhaps.
