I have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Australia with my wife of which the highlight was a week spent in the Whitsundays. The first three days/nights were aboard the Pacific Sunrise cruising the islands, visiting the beautiful Whitehaven beach and snorkelling off Hook island etc.. The crew were all very friendly, there was plenty of room and the overall pleasant atmosphere made this an unforgettable experience.
The next two days/nights we stayed at the excellently located Coral Sea Resort in a great room with a balcony that actually opened out over the sea. The pool and surrounding area was perfect and the staff very attentive although the food was not as good as the menu would lead you to believe (would advise Capers Bar instead).
The key to such a great trip I believe was down to using a local family agency (Bob and Libby at whitsundayaccommodation). They really looked after us answering all our questions before we left England, provided transport between airport, hotel, boat etc and securing the best cabin on the boat and room in the hotel. It was all so effortless for us. Bob even managed to get a considerably better price for me then when I tried to book separately. I would highly recommend them as a good starting point before planning a trip to the Whitsundays.
