Well i didn't really go there for a holiday i worked there and it was the best time of my life.As we worked during the day and partyed with guest at night.The CAP"s crew were unforgettable and made sure everyone was enjoying them self and had amzing activities for everyone to do. The cocktail mixalog always had someone naked running to the pool, and all sport turned out to be great fun and a good laugh. the night life was great as CAP's made up party games and theme nites everynite. The best ones i thoguth would be Keppel cup races and the glowstick nites. There were always people looking to hook up and you make some great friends on the island. Beware you will do things that you have never done before but remember what happens on keppel stays on keppel.It's a shame it had to change to Mecure Resort but it's still a great place to party as us staff are always up to some the guest a good time.there are still activities planed daily and the nite activities are still fun. Please still come over and enjoy the Keppel experience as so many before you have, You won't regret it.

I went to Great Keppel in April/May 2002. I went with 2 other friends and we shared a triple garden room. We all had a good time although at the time of year that we went it was always windy so a lot of activities were cancelled. But really there is enough for anyone to do, and the activities staff were great - a real highlight. The downside was that whatever cleaning products they used in the restaurant smelt really funny and often put me off my breakfast. Also, the water is revolting so take plenty of bottled water as buying anything on the island is very expensive. Same goes for food. Brunch and dinner were included but because we were so active 2 meals a day was not enough and to buy food from the other cafes or from the shop was about 3 times the price you would pay on the mainland. So stock up on the muesli bars and chocolate!

So there I'am in Kabul Afghanistan, and they tell me I've got three weeks of vacation, and I only know that I want to go to Australia, but I don't know where. Then I was told about GKI, and decided to give it a go. Best damn decesion I ever made. Had dinner with eight gorgeous women the first night, and many more nights, got totally smashed on more than one occasion, and even scored a little pu nanny ;) I still keep in contact with people I met there, as well as people that work their. I just got back from my second trip there after I finished up my tour of duty in Kabul and I can't wait till my third, fourth, and fifth trip. I'd even work there for free if they let me that's how great GKI is. So go there, and become one of the many who have enjoyed the real life paradise city.

I visited the sandy shores of Great Keppel Island last year with my two best friends Adele and Kate. As this was our first holiday together as adults, we didnt really know what to expect of Great Keppel. We had heard from a few people that it was pretty good but you never know how your experience is going to be. We arrived on the island after a 45 minute barge ride from Yeppoon and were greeted by a very welcoming person called Emily, one of the CAPS crew. She took us for a tour of the resort and it was absolutely beautiful. We became instant friends with Em, she was awesome. We had made some other friends while on the tour, a british lad called Petey and a very loud yank called Brian. I could tell that we would hang out with them the whole week. Which we did. We were then told that we could go to our rooms and it turned out that we were only a few doors from the boys and right in the middle of many yummy looking boys rooms aswell. The week that followed was unbelievable. There was great food every nite and every morning, and the nite life was amazing. We drank every nite and partied til dawn, I had the best time of my life. I had hooked up with a couple of people but one in particular was a guy called Tim who worked at GKI as part of the CAPS crew. The CAPS job entailed showing the resort guests a good time by organising events etc. They were an awesome bunch of people.
Tim and I became pretty close and broke a couple of rules because staff arent allowed to date guests but all well. We spent all week together and then it was time to leave. So after a week of excitement, fun, and the friendships, we had to say goodbye. I had made so many friends, with girls from Melbourne, Petey and Brian and all the staff there. A week seems like a short amount of time, but I felt as though I had known them forever. I knew it wouldnt be the same when we got home, we live too far from each other, but they always live in my heart. My experience on the island was awesome, not only because of the majesty of the island but mostly because of the people that made it the best week of my life. Thanks guys! I love all of them. Great Keppel Island wasnt just a holiday to me, it was a change of life. It made me realise that there is a much bigger world out there, filled with awesome people. I am now a new person. You rock GKI!
