These very reasonably priced tents provide for a great jumping off ground to explore this beautiful island in continued commercial decline. The staff is friendly, the ownership attentive, personable and accessible and the public spaces clean and as well maintained as they can possibly be. The generators stay on pretty late. I would chose no other option on the main beach. The island itself is magnificent and a beach going, nature loving bushwalkers' paradise. The infrastructure for long bushwalks onto remote and beautiful beaches is still very much there -- but the people are not. Everyone has disappeared - I found myself hiking with a stick to remove the spiderwebs from the trails. The closure of the main resort is evident thoughout and the impact is undeniable. It does not take long for nature to start to reclaim it's territory. What is your pleasure? Full service luxury where you sit in one spot for eight hours enjoying sugary frozen drinks? You do not belong here until the proposed redevelopment is complete. Do you enjoy the challenge of walking long stretches of long beaches accessible via a network of walking trails with wild goats, blue tongues, snakes, peacocks and possums while catering for yourself? This is the spot for you!
