A two night trip for business saw us stay at the Par Regis in Palmer Street Townsville.

We were very happy with the quality of the apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a level three apartment with commanding views of the harbor and river – just perfect.

Very quiet after hours so we slept perfectly.

Anyone who knows Townsville knows that Palmer Street is just wall to wall with excellent eateries from nice restaurants to pubs to take-away you should surely find something to tantalize.

A few minor issues for us with the apartment: 1) Very poor lighting over the bathroom mirror. This needs to be upgraded.. 2) Very limited power points are available. Only one spare in the bedroom with the others behind the beds, so you can not charge your phone/computer while you boil the kettle.

Overall, we were very satisfied with this place and we would certainly return with our family and friends.

I stayed here for 3months, place is in a great location. Out of the city but amongst some beautiful marina views. I really enjoyed my stay here, i just felt right at home. I stayed in both 1 bdrm & 2bdrm apartments, 1 bedroom apartment is very spacious. Has washing machines, dryers, bath and very spacious and open living areas. It was big enough for me to even have visitors over. The 2bdrm place has more than enough space. It can fit more than 6ppl. They have everything aim the apartments and makes it easier to stay with the foxtel / mOvie channels. The only downfalls was that room service done weekly, sometimes when I have sign to clean room, it doesn't get done til the designated day. At one point I had no room service for 2 weeks until I approached cleaner and asked when my room will be cleaned then they did it. Secondly the ants, found it really hard to get rid in every apartment I stayed in. Pool was great although I do suggest management take a look at the BBQ area. It's not in the greatest condition and the shelter is freestanding due to severe rusting. Could be dangerous. Besides that I rate 7/10

My partner got a posting order back up at the start of this year &we were put up at Park Regis from the 5th Jan til the 13th Jan, we both were so very impressed with the wonderful service&cleanliness of the place we would defineatly stay here again or recommend it to anybody else.
The self contained units were so perfect for our stay, washing machine&dryer in the rooms, lovely views&comfy bed..

Yeah this place maybe older than some but its a great, relaxed place to stay :)

Stayed here in December 2011 with my family in a two bedroom apartment. Apartment is actually two separate rooms with separate doors, a small hallway that is joined by an external door. Was not expecting this as our two bedroom apartment. Rooms are very clean so are the bathrooms and kitchens. Kitchen had all necessities and all appliances worked well. Beds are very comfortable - best part of the room! May not stay here if I come to Townsville again with family, will choose another hotel and ensure that it is one apartment with two bedrooms. Would recommend to only get a one bedroom apartment or studio room. Also, location of hotel is not ideal, you can stay at other places that are a bit close or in CBD for similar prices.
