“Great family day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

I took my friends and grandchildren to Billabong Sanctuary, there is plenty to see the layout of the Sanctuary is user friendly. I like that you can take a picnic lunch or buy from the kiosk. The main stars the animals were awesome. Good value as it can be an all day trip.

“Townsville's Billabong Sanctury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

As the name implies, the sanctury is situated amongst many billabongs. It is the home for all types of native wild life - many of which roam naturally around the extensive grounds. The sanctury is an ideal place to take children who can get up front and personal with many of the animals and reptiles. Have lunch there and continue your enjoyment with crocodile feeding etc. Usually a thoroughly enjoyable day.

“Wonderful up-close-and-personal animal experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

An absolutely wonderful experience, letting you touch and get photos with heaps of different Australian animals, even a wombat, which I've never been able to experience like this before. The staff were very knowledgeable, there were plenty of animals to see, and the park was clean and nice. All the animals were very friendly, ducks coming right up to you, and kangaroos eating out of your hands. A truly wonderful and unique experience!

“A great afternoon at the Sanctuary”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

A must do thing when visiting Townsville. The animals are well looked after, the interactive shows very interesting and all the animals just wandering around the park interacting with the visitors was unique. We especially liked Jack and his venemous snake show, he was very entertaining and gave us some great information. Well worth a visit.
