“Definitely worth a look”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Great aquarium just off The Strand. Had some very informative tours and you could do your own exploring and touch the fish and other sea creatures.

“Great experience - good for young and old!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Reef HQ was great - good for children but also adults. They have a massive aquarium inside with not only Australian marine life, but a part of the Great Barrier Reef - just beautiful!

“good afternoon out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2012

Was a nice afternoon out, made sure we got hands stamped so we could return to visit the turtle hospital. The cafe was over priced and there were too many people on the hospital tour, which made it hard to hear and see what was going on. The large coral reef exhibit with hammerhead sharks was impressive. The shark section of the underwater walkway seemed very small for such a large amount of big fish.

“Kids enjoyed the Aquarium”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

We visited the Aquarium while in Townsville and the kids enjoyed wandering through and looking through the windows at the fish. Staff were very friendly and helpful including in the Cafe. Was smaller than I expected so is a little on the pricey side. Luckily we didn't have to pay for our kids (under 5) as it would have been too expensive. Worth a visit if in town.
