I was really hoping for a good japanese takeaway place in Townsville and when they opened up around the corner from me I was really pleased... until I went there to eat.
First time I got the Pork Katsu curry and had the same experience to another reviewer. Rather than a traditional crumbed piece of pork sliced up (as displayed on their menu) the 'meat' was actually small round brown balls that weren't recognisable as pork. The batter on them was chewy and not crispy, very unpleasant. Wait time between ordering and receiving the food would only have been 2-3 minutes, so it obviously was just reheated and not cooked fresth.
In case it was an isolated incident I went back a few months later and got combination noodles. Combination was a good name, as the noodles on top were dry and hard, while the ones on the bottom were oily and slimy. Again the food came out too quickly and looked reheated.
It's a real shame, they have cooking facilities in store but I've never seen them being used to actually cook anything. They won't be getting a third visit from me.
