Good value and very clean room. Stayed on the second floor with fantastic views from the balcony and the rest/bar area. Close to town but far enough to be quite and very welcoming. Bed was a little soft for my old back...maybe a little worn but diddnt interupt sleep. Will be back!

We stayed for a few nights in a family room; it was a basic motel room but very clean and quiet and not far to drive to the town centre, I wouldn’t recommend walking unless very fit as it’s up quite a steep hill. The furnishings are a bit out-dated and the walls could have done with a paint, but it was spacious and had a fantastic view. We had dinner and paid for breakfast once in their restaurant where the view is wonderful, the food was good and we had plenty to eat and were very happy with our meals. The shower recess is very tiny and for a bigger person it would cause a bit of a problem. Ask to have a confirmation email as we were quoted one price on the phone and charged extra when we left. But we found it good value for money, the owners are very friendly and we’d stay again.

We stayed here for one night on the way down to the Whitsundays. Firstly, my girlfriend and I both felt that the owner/staff was so welcoming and friendly. We didn't have a booking but it was no problem. She showed us the room which was available and put us under no pressure to take it. The room was a typical motel room, though it was very clean and spacious. We paid extra for breakfast the following morning. It was quite basic but nice with a lovely seating area with a view and a half!
The owner/staff gave great advice about where to eat and what to do in the area. When we returned, she asked how we had gotten on and was interested and engaging. We were also able to leave our bags there after we had checked out to have a further look around Townsville.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay here and would definitely stay here if I was in Townsville again.

These people really bend over backwards to look after their guests. I left my phone in the reception area when I checked out. By the time I got to the airport and realised my phone was missing, the proprietor was driving to the airport to deliver my phone to me! The streetscape and exterior is deceptively bland - once you walk into the balcony restaurant and see the amazing ocean view you just feel like dropping out and going troppo. The rooms are comfy and air-conditioned and the food in the restaurant was great. This is where I'll stay in Townsville in future.
