Add Bistro Lamp to your "must trys". Squeezed in between other venues and opposite Pancake Manor, this is a great, trendy little restaurant with excellent food, excellent service and a fun atmosphere. Regardless of which meal we experimented with, the dining experience is always delightful. And after you have dined at Bistro Lamp, wander south a few blocks to the Swinging Safari, an iconic old Queenslander that has been converted to a 1970's restaurant and bar. Mainly a bar. Adorned with lots of fabulous old curios and furniture from yesteryear, it's a wonderful place to visit after the Bistro Lamp, or at any time, for a fun drink or two or three. The food is great there too, although we mainly visit for pre or after dinner drinks. Bistro, too, have great wines by the glass, and interesting Japanese dishes to try and enjoy.
