“Great view but overpriced!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

We took our kids to Surfers (from Byron) for a high rise experience. We decided it would be nice to have breakfast at the top of Q1 and check out the amazing view. The experience starts with the entry desk where you pay to either just ride up and look at the view or do that and include breakfast. We had already decided we would have breakfast so we paid the price - 4 of us with one for free (under 5yrs), total was approx $90!!!! We thought - breakfast must be good!

When we got to the little breakfast area at the top, the continental breakfast layed out was VERY basic and on top of that we had to pay extra for a barrister coffee!! My soy latte was $5.20 - wow - and it was very weak. The fruit and pastries were no different to any 3 star motel would have had. There was NOTHING special about the breakfast at the top of Q1 - I would not recommend it to anyone.

The view on the other hand is really awesome and worth seeing.

“Great Views/Easy Climb”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Organisation of Climb was excellent. Staff on reception very helpful. Views were absolutely fabulous. Climb was physically easier than I had perhaps expected (that's a good thing). Dale - our leader was very helpful and pleasant. Food in snack bar was nice and also reasonably priced.
The only downside was perhaps not being to take one's own photographs of the views from the top and perhaps if that is not possible Skypoint should consider taking some photographs from the top (during each climb and not just of the participants)

“Amazing views”

Not overly cheap but worth it when you see the incredible 360 degree views. Not one for those scared of heights however!

“Great Views”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We had breakfast at the Skypoint on 4 occasions. As we stepped out of the lift on the 77th floor there was a strong odour of stale milk. We thought it might be a once of but we ate here on 4 mornings and it was the same every day. We had breakfast at 7.30..opening time and were disappointed with the cleanliness of the area. There were crumbs on the floors and tables, obviously from the night before and in the lounge area around the café there was even a glass which would have been from the night before. Lots of sticky little finger marks on the glass surrounding the café also detracted from the cleanliness. The toilets were also not the cleanest. It seemed obvious that cleaning wasn't done during closing hours...but it should be...
