“Breakfree Peninsular - great value for money, great location, great family accomodation. We would definitely stay again.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Excellent value. Great service. Good beds. Level 34 was excellent with great views of the coast to the east. The rooms are a great size and functionable. The location is excellent being within a few minutes from the beach and Surfers. Quiet area and able to leave the windows open and listen to the beach at night. Facilites are great for kids. Our apartment was perfect for us but if you wanted to be picky it could do with a update but based on value for money you couldn't go past Peninsular. Susanne

Room Tip: Higher floors have great views.

My family and I have stayed at Peninsula Apartments on several occasions when holidaying on the Gold Coast. We chose Peninsula initially as they were central to all facilities etc. We fly up so rely on walking to restaurants beaches etc and so for that reason Peninsula is perfect for us. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff are polite and very helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: A room overlooking the beach is great for families. Did find that lower floors were a lot noisier th...

Our Family stayed for 7 nights in a two bedroom apartment with Air Con. The apartment was very clean. It had great views to sit on the balcony and relax. The kids loved the pools, tennis court and the play equipment. The location was perfect just a short walk to the beach and main street Cavill ave.
I would book again.

While not as luxurious as we would have thought or hoped for, the peninsula offered reasonable value. The unit was spacious, and we enjoyed the excellent location with great views.

If i was to be picky, i d say the bathroom was old, and it didn't feel like a hotel as much as an older residential building (lobby and pools uninviting, and there was no on site restaurant).

Overall it 'does the job' and so I d stay there again if, upon comparison, it was cheaper than other nearby hotels.

Dear Isabelle J,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay at Breakfree Peninsula.

You have correctly mentioned that Breakfree Peninsula is a high-rise apartment building very centrally located in Surfers Paradise. It is not a hotel and we do not have a restaurant on-site. We provide fully furnished self contained apartments with kitchen and laundry facilities at reasonable rates. We offer value for money.

I am pleased to hear that you found our apartment to be clean and spacious.

I look forward to welcoming you again at Breakfree Peninsula on your next visit here.

We had a fantastic stay at the Peninsula. We had a newly renovated 2 bedroom apt with stunning views. The location is fantastic and a short walk to shops, a supermarket and eateries. Thank goodness we had an apartment with air conditioning though because it was so hot that it would have been very uncomfortable. The pool facilities were great also and the kids loved playing in them. We would absolutely go back again

We stayed here in a 2 bedroom standard apartment with friends for 6 nights in February. There is a lot to love about the Breakfree Peninsula, but it's true that you get what you pay for - we got a really cheap deal for our stay and overall it was fantastic value.

Our unit was a time warp back to the 80's with lots of bamboo and brass, but it was huge and on the whole it was comfortable and clean, although the main bathroom was really dated and in need of an upgrade desperately. It was so old it felt a bit grubby and I opened a drawer of the vanity unit and the whole thing almost collapsed as it was so rotten. The kitchen was pretty well set up and although the utensils and cooking equipment were basic, they were serviceable enough. An extra saucepan would've been useful though.

The staff were great, the pools and barbecue facilities were fabulous and it was so central to everything with free parking as well. And the views were magnificent!

Our biggest issue was the smell in the corridor outside our room from the rubbish chute. It was often so bad we held our breath to get to and from the lifts. Apparently they were in the process of fixing the problem, but it was really awful. Luckily, the smell didn't invade our room.

Despite the few quibbles, we enjoyed our stay a great deal and would have no problem returning for another visit.

Room Tip: Not all rooms have air conditioning, so make a request for this.

Dear lilylouise,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your recent stay.

I am pleased to hear that you and your friends had an enjoyable stay at Breakfree Peninsula except for a few quibbles.

I have noted your comments about the standard of the apartment you were allocated. Some of the apartments are scheduled for a refurbishment. This will enhance the overall presentation of the apartment and also the guest experience.

I am pleased to hear your comments about the expansive ocean views from the apartment, our location, extensive common area facilities and our friendly team.

I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Breakfree Peninsula in the near future.
