I have just spent few nights at Cosmopolitan apartment during the Xmas holidays with my wife. The location of the apt is good, the bus stop to Seaworld is just right in front of the apt building while the bus stop to Nerang train stn (to Brisbane) is just located behind the apt building. The walking distance from the bus stop (to Coolangatta and or Movieworld / Wet 'n' WIld world) is about 5-10min walk.

We were paying abt A$90 for each night stay, with min 3 nights stay, we got another night for free, so we paid total of approx A$270 for 4 nights stay (booking through Jetstar holiday package) which I believe is reasonable for a 1 bedroom apartment with full kitchen and laungry facility.

It's located right opposite Woolworth supermarket and within 10 min walking distance to the beach. Along the Beach road, there are plenty of shops selling those souvenir at bargainable pricing.

One of the negative point , we made a phone call to the office one day before our trip and was told that that we could get our unit change on the second day of check-in (because we will be arrived late on first night and the reception has assigned a unit for us earlier with no ocean view and facing the main beach road which was kind of noisy at nights). On the second day when we registered our stay at the reception, was told that they will not change for us our unit as it will incur cleaning cost since we have stayed-in. We believe that the management should not give the message that they will change for us an ocean view unit on the second day when we officially check-in but in real, THEY DIDN'T!

Generally, based on the location, pricing and facility (BBQ area and swimming pool, but didn't try it out due to time constraint) provided by the apt, it's worth to spent few nights at Cosmopolitan apt.

Once again we decided to stay at the centrally located cosmopolitian apartments, just off caville ave, right in the heart of the excitment and glitter of the gold coast.
Having stayed here on many occassions we were given an ocean view high rise apartment.
The local buses go from close by to all the major attractions,we always use the normal local buses as on a pension this saves and we can get a pensioner discount all day ticket.
Buses also go back to tweed heads.
Across the road from the units there is a woolworths store which is handy for buying food as you need it.
There are several cheap eating venues,R.S.L the Islander over the road also the SARR club.
A bus takes you to Pacific Fair, also Australia Fair, plus Jupiters.
The units are cleanand while not flash ,great value for money ,in an ideal position close to the beach.shops and transport.
The bus terminal; is across the road, also on the other corner is the hard rock cafe.
It can get noisy at night due to the nearby night clubs, but some ear plugs can fix that.
Also has a nice pool and spa area.
We recommend thse units for all those looking for reasonablly priced units in good position, and good value for those on a budget.
We will return.

  • Liked — the proximity to the heart of surfers paradise, shops transport beach
  • Disliked — could not fault it for price and position
  • Tips/Secrets — use local transport instead of paying for tourist buses, local buses go to all theme parks cheaper

Myself and 2 girlfriends stayed at these appartments for a girls week getaway. Not only was the interior terribly outdated but the pots and pans where dirty there was dirty smells and stains on the bathroom walls. We also had out dishwasher break and flood the room 3 times. The air conditioner was also broken and the beds where small. The balcony had carpet and the room above us had a leek which would make the outside balcony sogy and wet and that smelt aswell.

For your own good please do not stay here it may be cheap but its disgusting living in the other tennants are young and mostly male who scream at you from the balcony and kock on your doors in the middle of the night.

If i wanted that i would have gone to schoolies with all the --------- that go there
