“Great stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We were in surfers for 2 nights to watch our son swim at the national games but wanted somewhere we could treat ourselves while we were here- this hotel ticked all the boxes! We got a good deal on mystery hotel and weren't disappointed. We hired a car and were thrilled to see we didn't have to pay for parking- unlike many hotels in gold coast. If you didn't have a car , publis transport was very conveniently positioned directly out the front. We included breakfast daily which was both reasonably priced and very enjoyable with all you would want. We also splashed out and dined at the four winds revolving restaurant and this was a highlight of our trip- simply beautiful food!! The room was large and clean with a great balcony with wonderful ocean views- all round great experience...

Room Tip: Deluxe ocean view spa in gold tower

We attended a wedding there, their facilities for holding an intimate wedding were perfect. Lovely garden and chapel next door if raining.
Room was comfortable. Revolving restaurant was really enjoyable, food variatiation was excellent. Great outdoor for swimming for adults and children.

Room Tip: Most rooms pretty quiet and have a good view of the ocean, higher up the better.

Clean, quiet and close to beach. Reception was v friendly. Bathrooms clean, bed comfortabke and patio furniture comfortable. Room service was quick and friendly. Watch out for low rooms as close to highway. Go high.

Room Tip: Have a high room facing sea

I visit the Gold Coast every month and stay most frequently at the Crowne Plaza. The location is ideal slightly away from the hustle and bustle of Surfers' Paradise and near Pacific Fair. Underground complimentary parking is available. The beach is a short stroll away and you can continue walking by the beach towards Broadbeach where you are spoilt for choice for cafes and restaurants. I had a 16th floor room facing the beach and enjoyed 270 degree views from Coolangatta and back towards the river. The room was very spacious and comfortable though a sofa would have made it even more comfortable. The long wraparound balcony with outdoor seating was great for admiring the view and enjoying a drinking outside. Breakfast downstairs in the lobby restaurant was excellent with very obliging staff. You can make your own fresh fruit and vegetable juice. You are offered complimentary espresso coffee at breakfast without the annoying habit some other hotels of charging an extra $5. I have tried some other nice hotels in my recent monthly visits but have decided to stick with the Crowne Plaza because of its convenience and the quality of the food and service at Relish. The 2 for 1 cocktail offer was very nice. In fact the number of offers associated with dinner is quite remarkable value - there is a bottle of red wine in the room you can take to dinner and it's complimentary with 2 main courses. In the elevator they were promoting a 2 for 1 glass wine which if consumed with dinner entitles you to 20% of the total dinner bill at any other Crowne Plaza - not a bad offer for a regular traveller. Failing all else good quality meals can be enjoyed at the tavern around the corner at very reasonable prices. Having said all this, it's really the staff who draw me back each time so the hotel will be my Surfers' Paradise home away from home.

Room Tip: I tend to choose an ocean view room though I have been quite content during past stays with hinterla...

Partner and I had a last minute booking for a kings size room with ocean view. Great to find free parking under the building, internet is $9 for 2 hours.
The kettle is in the bathroom in case they don't tell you, all facilities comfortable and great value at $134 through lastminute.com.au which is owned by Wotif.com.au now, just in case you were wondering.
We ate out and found good value in broad beach about 10 minutes away.
Although a good nights sleep, would not pay 5 star rack rate for this hotel as it isn't within close proximity to restaurant strips of Broadbeach and surfers paradise.

Could not fault this hotel. From check-in to check-out everything was almost perfect. Friendly and efficient staff, good room with balcony and sea view, Location handy to beach and a tram stop outside if you don't feel up to the walk to places such as Cavill Mall. Had a very nice dinner with my daughter in the hotel restaurant (Relish) and, once again, the service was faultless. Breakfast was a buffet, but one of the better that I've had in hotels.

Room Tip: The higher rooms with balcony and sea view are good. However facing east, you get the early morning...
