We stayed recently for 4 nights in a standard room. Beds were quite good and everything worked well, but it needs a refit of new carpet and paintwork. The shampoo and body wash were also about the worse I have encountered and way below par for a 4 star hotel, even if we were just in a standard room. The hotel has two pools which proved to be quite inadequate over the hot weather in January. Not enough space around the pools to put more chairs for sitting and relaxing and no shade whatsoever. Also the water was quite murky on one day. On a more positive note I would highly recommend the Amalfi bistro as we had a number of very good meals there and found the staff to be extremely professional and friendly. If you are planning to stay at the Watermark, go for the more expensive hotel rooms.

We have stayed all around the world in 4 star hotels and this one really let my family and myself down. The room lacked a proper clean in during our 7 night stay after Christmas and through the new year.towels were left unchanged for 3days and the room was never hoovered during the whole stay.when we reported the towels to reception they were changed promptly.my daughter spilt juice on her pillow case and yet again it was unchanged for a couple of days until I reported it again to reception.on one occasion I wanted to order food from the lunchtime menu which stated it ran to 5.30 only to be informed the chef was only cooking from the evening menu although we pointed out it was only 5.15. the staff on reception were great but when I spoke to the manager when checking out I pointed out our issues and he said I should of reported them earlier but when you are on holiday you just want it all to go smoothly and not to cause a issue. To be honest with the price we paid in such a peak period we did expect better. To encourage us to eat breakfast there we were offered buffet breakfast at$22 per person instead of $34 at reception when we booked in but it is still way to expensive. for families

The location si very good, near the city activity, walking distance to the beach, too bad dont have sea view.
The room is spacious enough, the amenities good, and I have good quality of sleeping.
This hotel also clean, the service is standard, nothing special.
I did enjoy the breakfast, I think I had the best breakfast in this hotel during my stay in Australia.

I stayed at Watermark hotel for 5 nights over New Years. The hotel staff are very friendly and efficient, and my stay was Suberb! The room had all the added extras you would expect at an apartment not a hotel room e.g bath robes, slippers, Peter Morrisey shampoo/conditioner/soap. It was very clean on arrival, you could smell the cleanness and everyday the room was cleaned thoroughly. We were even greeted with a very friendly cleaning lady. The location was fantastic, directly across the road from the Q1 building and a 5 min walk to Surfers Paradise Cavill Ave and Centro Surfers Paradise shopping centre. The only criticism I have is that the pillows were too soft but I like them very firm. Highly recommend this hotel for your stay!!!
