“Watch out for the rock in your food!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 18, 2013

This place was recommended to us by a traffic controller we met went whilst walking in Surfers Paradise. Chance has it that when we dined there at Friday lunch it was their Yum Cha special where all items were $3.30. Great value and lovely Yum cha. The place was very busy as obviously word is out about this special.

Unfortunately one of our plates of green vegetables we ordered contained a rock which my wife bit on. Initially when we complained the manager he denied it came from his dish but ultimately he didn’t charge us for the dish and we received a complementary Salt and Pepper Calamari which was delicious. It seems perhaps these vegetables were not washed properly.

As a result I have downgraded the rating to 3 stars as this isnt satisfactory and could have resulted in damaged teeth.

“focus is unfocused on customer service!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

this chinese restuarant are only focusing on their fellow asain/s tour bus groups and not on others, us fellow australians seem to be left in the deep end because their english is not good and upon ordering, they could not understand a word and prefered you to hand write your order instead, we had circled our orders on the paper menu, disgraceful is putting it nicely!

“Nice place for a late lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

We had dim sum hear on easter and the place was half filled. Service was fast and we got our tea within 3 minutes of sitting down.

Prawn dumplings (har gao) was great with big succulent prawns only pork buns (char siew bao) was a bit dry. Other dishes were above average.

Would come back here again next time I'm in gold coast.

Ordinary meal. Ordinary ambience. Ordinary service. Ordinary all round. Fried rice was the best dish we had... Kids liked it.

“Food quite good, non-existent service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

This was my third visit, with an interstate Chinese guest. We had to help ourselves to menus etc, service is utterly chaotic and hilarious if you can show some patience. Anyone from Sydney or Melbourne would walk out after 15 minutes of being totally ignored. The food isn't bad but you need to be able to get it first. Lots of people running around in chaos doing nothing. No trolleys, you have to order from the small yum cha menu and then wait-and wait- and wait before you can even get jasmine tea to start. Prices are reasonable as they should be for such appalling service. Probably won't go through the effort of a return visit.
