I booked a room months in advance as anniversary present and had requested a top floor. When me and my partner had checked in we too complained about the stench coming from the rubbish chute next to our room on the 1st floor. following day nothing had be done about it, so back to reception to ask them to take care of it and then in the mean time they where upgradeing (free) a man who was staying by him self to the 15th floor. Then i had to complain again for the 3rd time becuase the smell was that bad we were struggling to sleep. asked for some clean towels, soap and i was told i had to pay for these. There was a spare room there the whole time but it was on the 15th floor and we had to pay extra if we wanted it, the lady at recption had told us. But we were told subject to availability. all in all, shocking experinance and we will never be staying there again. only + for this hotel its modern and walking distance to everything.

We stayed here for 3 nights during new years! Our room was on level 17 with ocean view and it was withing great distance to beach. The staff on reception were so welcoming and only to happy to help when
We arrived a little to early for check in. The pool is great and the BBQ area is class. Our apartment was brilliant and not to be faulted with plenty of kitchen essentials at hand. The only thing we may ask for next time is fresh towels everyday as we didn't get this however there was a washing machine for us to use :) definately will be back

We stayed in a 17th Floor 1BDR apartment. We had great views of the river and the coast. Apartment was very modern, clean, roomy and had all the amenities we needed. It also had a very nice balcony where you can relax, have a few drinks and just enjoy the views.

Wyndham has a very good location. It is a 2 minute walk to the bus stop where all transport to the theme parks pass by. Several good restaurants are also within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The beach is nearby and so is shopping on Cavill.

The only complaint we had was check in was at 3PM, we arrived in the morning after a 15 hr journey and really needed a room to freshen up and rest. It seemed that none of the guests could get a room before 3 PM and were all waiting at the cafe and pool area.

The other downside to this hotel is that the spring beds are too soft for my liking. A heavier person will feel the springs poking into their back if they slept on the Sofa bed. My son, a 10 yold didn't mind sleeping on the Sofa bed as he was light enough not to be bothered by the springs.

Despite the negatives, I would stay in this hotel again and recommend it to others.

This is the first time we have stayed here and it won't be the last!
Excellent service right from the moment we walked into reception , the staff are fabulous. A full guided tour of the hotel by a lovely lady that gave us everything we needed.
The pool and BBQ area is excellent and the spa is to die for!
We are on level 13 on the corner with the hinterland view but we got the best of both worlds being able to see the beach and up towards cavil ave. excellent view!
the room is clean spacious and has everything we need, the air con is beautiful and the king size bed and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud!
Very close to everything , walking distance to the bottle shop and delicious pizza right downstairs.
We will be recommending this place to anyone and everyone that is coming to surfers.. We still have 4 more days here and I hope it goes slow cause I never want to leave :)
