After just returning from a week at the Circle, the only area which would score close to maximum points would be the complex's location. As many others have said, it's right in the heart of Surfers and immediately above a large Woolworths for the essentials. Thanks to us being on level 23, there wasn't too much noise which we could hear, with the possible exception of the Saturday night during the stay, when you could hear groups, etc, shouting during the night. Security of the complex is good, with only guests being allowed in to use the facilities. The facilities were very good - the pools and spa's being a favourite of the kids.
The real disappointment with the actual apartment, was an accumulation of small annoying things rather than anything too major. For an apartment so (relatively) new, it was showing definte signs of wear and tear - paint scratches/marks, laundry cupboard door falling off, wobbly power sockets. In addtion, the level of cleanliness could be a lot better. We left the apartment in a lot cleaner condition than when we arrived. There were no: cleaning clothes, surface cleaning spray, bin bags, hand soap, dustpan & brush, broom/brush, the vacuum was very poor. Several of the kitchen surfaces, tables and balcony hadn't been cleaned before our arrival.
Overall these things didn't stop us having a great time, but for a complex touting itself as 4.5 stars, you expect these little things to be taken care of. Would I recommend a friend? Yes, probably, but with the caveat not to expect too much.

Thanks for your review. We do try our hardest to get guests into room as soon as they become available, but when the hotel sits at a100% occupancy, there sometimes can be a small delay. It was pleasing to see that our team promptly assisted you with a room move. Our Front Desk team are all handpicked for their customer care ability, and it’s great to read that they team were able to assist you on this occasion.
I take on your feedback about the daily mini refreshes. Depending on your rate, they include a replacement of amenties (tea, coffee, sugar, and bathroom amenities), changing of towels, removal of rubbish and bed making (providing there are no personal belongings on the bed)
Unsure why you were told that we don’t provide luggage trolleys. Usually when a guest requires the use of a luggage trolley our front desk team can provide you with one. It must have been a busy check out day, and all the trolleys were in use at the time of request.

Mantra Circle on Cavill - fantastic location, fantastic staff, fantastic rooms, fantastic views..

We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning again soon, and will be asking for the same room.. :)

Room Tip: We had a river/mountain view room and it was beautiful.

Not as expected. The bedroom/bath view I expected was replaced with a mirrored built in robe.

The bathroom was in a different room. The shelf in the shower was loose, so if you were to place a thing on it, it would slide off. All furniture and walls were marked. The fantastic furniture type tables were all scratched. Two of the lights in the lounge did not work, the rusted bedside lamp didnt work. The tv in the bedroom didn't work.

Strangely they do not use doona covers, the doona was placed in between two sheets and as it was stained felt horrible and unclean to sleep in.

After first entering the room I was upset and disappointed, I went down to the front desk and ask why my room was nothing like the picture's. The receptionist explained that the rooms were different and that this one was the one that was assigned to us.

The pools and BBQ area were great. Its just a shame we were given a terrible room and not offered a transfer to the advertised room. It's safe to say we will never return.

I would love to know if they ever fullfill early check-in requests!? Especially for people traveling with small children.
First room was crappy, crappy furniture, and rust in the bedroom and on the dinning table chair which looked like it had been brought in from outside. Needless to say we complained and got to change rooms thankfully. The next room was much better which got me thinking, why weren't all the rooms of a high standard? And why were we clearly put in I would say the crappest room they have!? The mantra daily refresh was OK some days they refreshed the things they were suppose to but some days they didn't. If we had any problems the maintence team of a night time was very helpful. Locations is the best thing about this hotel. Bed was uncomfortable. Need more tv channels. Need fitted sheets on the bed! Not just a sheet tucked in which comes untucked during the night! Pet peeve! Requested a luggage trolley the morning of leaving and was told they don't offer that service, but we used the luggage trolley when we changed rooms? What's with that? For the price we expected things to be perfect but were disappointed we didn't get perfection. Plenty of other places to stay in surfers so will probably stay elsewhere in the future.

We stayed in a two bedroom ocean view spa apartment. Views were amazing, room was huge and very modern. Some hotels say they are close to the action and u end up walking for miles, not this hotel! You can not get any more central! Room rate is extremely competitive and facilities excellent. We had an issue on our first night that was out of the hotels control, a young manager (Micheal) I think his name was not only moved us but gave us the option of two different rooms. As all staff we encountered he was extremely professional, helpful and made it known that his purpose was for us to enjoy our stay and get the full mantra experience which we did. Thanks guys you should be proud! We will return.

I stayed at Circle on Cavill with my husband for 7 nights from 5th March 2013. We also had a week at Q1. I will be submitting a review for Q1 as a comparison.

There is a light rail being built from Southport to Broadbeach so there are major roadworks around the area at the moment. This produced some noise and disruption but nothing that concerned me or impacted on our stay at the hotel. Do allow more travel time to the airport etc.

Circle on Cavill is in a fantastic location. We were on the 41st floor in a one bedroom spa ocean view room. The outlook was tremendous. We had views down Cavill Ave and up and down the coast. One could even enjoy the views from the spa, shower and toilet if desired. We did enjoy our stay but unfortunately we encountered so many issues that required maintenance. To their credit the staff were very prompt addressing and rectifying our concerns.

We requested two room keys on check-in. Only one was available but we were told that would be supplied with a new one by the end of the afternoon. This did not happen. Another phone call to another staff member and we were guaranteed that this would be fixed the following morning. The very nice maintenance man put a new lock on the door. Unfortunately the scanning device was not activated which meant another trip to security to get it sorted.

The Good:
1. The views and central location in Surfers Paradise.
2. Friendly and responsive staff.
3. Very clean kitchen and bathroom.
4. The indoor and outdoor pools were good.
5. Woolworths supermarket downstairs.
6.Toiletries and towels replenished during our stay.
7. Lifts were fast and reliable.

Room for improvement:
1. Circle on Cavill lacked attention to detail and it was obvious that regular maintenance checks in the individual apartments were not carried out. This concerned me.
2. The kitchen was not well equipped and 2 out of the three saucepans had very loose handles. There was only one red wine glass. This may be a minor issue but regular inventory's should identify the needs.
3. 3 out of the 4 knobs on the gas cook-top were broken. This made it near impossible to turn on the gas and if it did ignite it was impossible to regulate. A call to reception had the knobs replaced very quickly.
4. No safe in the room despite the room information folder saying that one could be found in the wardrobe.
5. I found the furniture to be below standard. It was dated and not that comfortable. The room was in need of renovation. Very chipped walls and marked paintwork.
6. On entering our room for the first time we noted an empty can and bottle top on the balcony. The carpet looked grubby.
7. The vacuum cleaner did not work. I requested a replacement which was only slightly better. I spent half an hour vacuuming prior to checkout and left the carpet cleaner than I found it.
8.The clothes dryer was broken. Although it produced heat the timer switch was not working. Although we reported this it was not fixed prior to our check out.
8. No bedside lamps in the bedroom making reading difficult.
9. Beware and hold onto your hat when exiting the building. Circle on Cavill and the other buildings around it have produced a wind tunnel. Even on days of low wind you can bet you will lose your hat.

Although I have documented a lot of concerns I would consider staying here again. But I think that prior to check-in I would request to view the room. This accommodation is not cheap and I expected more.

Beautiful Apartment with Ocean Views, great location, fantastic service by staff............a really lovely place to stay if you want to experience all the Gold Coast has to offer!!! It would have to be the nicest place I have ever stayed on the Gold Coast and when the Monorail is up and running, it will be even better. As it will provide easy access to Jupiters Casino. I will definately return next time I need a place to stay on the Gold Coast... :)
