We were on our family vacation of 2 weeks (Celebrating our Wedding Anniversary and My Husbands 45th Surprise Birthday) and our last vacation was Mantra Circle on Cavill, I was so looking forward to staying at this resort, seen a lot of good reviews about the resort, but what a disappointment, this was a surprise for my husbands 45th Birthday and his parents were flying in from overseas, wow, never again. I phoned to advise that we were checking out of one resort and heading straight to Circle on Cavill and was advised that we should be able to check in earlier than 2pm, that was not the case. I was greated by a member of your staff at check in who was rude and he made sure we didn't get to check in before 2pm. When we finally checked into the 3 Bedroom Apartment on the 53rd Floor that was assigned to us, what a disgrace. The room wasn't cleaned properly, the windows dirty, the furniture old, dirty, damaged, the air-conditioning was only working in the living area, not the bedrooms, went down to reception late that afternoon to complain and nothing was done about it. I let it go thinking someone will get back to me the next day, that didn’t happen. From there nothing went right, made a complaint about a bad sewerage smell coming from the kitchen sink, cleaners arrived late that night but the problem wasn’t fixed. Our accommodation included a Mantra Refresh each day, which didn’t happen until I complained about 3 times and finally they came just before we were going to bed and just left the towels behind, that’s not what I was supposed to receive. All I wanted to do was to go home, I requested to be moved or my money back, both were ignored by your reception staff. I was so angry and I wanted to speak to the Manager, but I spoke to the supervisor on duty instead who was very nice, but still nothing happened, I received that night a small box of chocolates and a thirty dollar voucher to spend downstairs at a coffee shop (which had to be used the day we were checking out, which was the next day), well that’s not good enough, we didn’t pay $1781.10 for that. I am just letting you know that you should be embarrased about this, as I said to the staff at reception, Mantra needs to live up to its name but it didn’t in this instance. When I booked the 3 Bedroom Apartment at Mantra Circle on Cavill – 4.5 Star Resort - you show beautiful pictures of the apartments of what you should be getting but actually that is not what you get you should be ashamed of yourselves. When we go on holidays we only stay at Mantra Resorts, because I like what I see and get, and Mantra has a very good name for themselves, but I have never ever had a problem like this before. I would like to be contacted by the Manager of Mantra with an explanation of why this occurred and why wasn’t it rectified right at the beginning.
Ask for a Mantra Room (4.5 Star) not a 3 star accommodation.
