“Great place for overnight stop”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013 via mobile

This is a clean, comfortable overnight motel with easy access to Bruce highway and local amenities. Reception very helpful and nice to be able to help ourselves to milk, bottled water etc on arrival. Highly recommend.

I stayed here for two days in a queen bed room. The rooms are newly refurbished, although a little basic. The owner mentioned that it can be noisy downstairs (from guests above). I noticed the TV of the guest next door. Generally quiet location off main streets. Walking distance to several dining options. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

Guided by other reviews we opted for this accommodation and were delighted with our choice:

Sleeping Accom - after driving 12 hours direct from cairns I could have probably fallen asleep on a park bench but I had the pleasant experience of a comfortable queen bed with ample space around to dress/undress. The pillows were also comfortable and the linens were soft and smooth on the skin. The room we had had a heat pump which made sleeping all the more comfortable and sturdy Venetian blinds to block out any headlamps from the car park.

Bathing Accom - well it's only a motel so no bath only a shower but its clean, tidy and recently refurbished with new ceramic ware. There was no where close to the shower to hang your towel so you have to rest it on the whb. Shower was powerful and had a simple curtain this could be jazzed up to bring it in line with the other modern furnishings. You get modest vanity essentials but it is all you need to wash down in the morning or after some hot sex.

Hotel Service - after coming into town at 10pm and stopping at another motel but it being closed we headed for here only to see the dark windows on reception but no lights on. Damn it we were going to be on that park bench! but I phoned reception and the owner answered and said he would open up and meet us at reception. After exchanging greetings he said he had just gone to bed but was happy to book us in after our long drive. (He is very cute and hosting gay couples was not a bother here, unfortunately he's married guys!) he explained to us about the room and gave us free wifi codes, shame the bigger hotels aren't as forward thinking as this gem. Great service and housekeeping made no attempt to rush our room until we were up and checked out they really respected our privacy to catch up on sleep.

Hotel Facilities - there are all that you need for a comfortable stay in rockhampton parking on site and close to your door for loading/unloading, free wifi, tea making facilities and air con and TV. The motel is also set away from the main road so there is no traffic noise at all. I believe they also provide breakfast to your room but we didn't opt for that.

A great stay is afforded here for the price and if your a tourist driving through then give these people your money.

We usually stay at another motel in Rockhampton when travelling between Townsville and Sunshine Coast. This time I checked trip advisor and found Citywalk which was in better condition and much cheaper than our usual accommodation. Citywalk represents good value for money, is quiet and the staff are super friendly.

Two nights on our journey south brought us to Rockhampton and this motel. Clean and well presented, the accomodation was supported by a young family who couldn't have been more helpful.
Advice as to where to eat or directions to local attraction, nothing was too much.

Room Tip: Ask for a room out of the direct sunlight.

A really pleasant surprise for Rocky. Most of the motels here are tired and well past their use by date. Citywalkhas been renovated. The greting is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean with a very comfortable bed. Aircon not too noisy and very effective. Bathroom a little cramped but everything worked. Location is good....walking distance toa good pub vor great food and probbly the best coffee I have had right next door.

This is a lovely, clean and comfortable motel. The receptionist was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful.
The rooms are functional and clean and all you need for a well needed rest whilst driving from Brisbane to Airlie Beach.
Well priced and close to local amenities. We visited the nearly 'irish' pub, which was also very nice.
All in all a great stay and would definitely recommend.
