From the moment we arrived, or experience at Peppers Beach Club was just wonderful. The staff were amazing, the spa suite was clean and the bed was gloriously comfortable and the resort is absolutely gorgeous. We will be back again next year for sure. Thank you so much Peppers!

We stayed for a weekend and it was our first visit to port Douglas. We felt the location was great - walking distance to 4 mile beach, macrossan street. We were doing a fair bit of exploring so sadly didn't have a lot of time to use the facilities. The pool is in the centre of the resort and has its own beach so if you wanted to you could spend your whole day there! The resort is quiet and the staff are friendly. We had a 3rd floor room - not a problem for us but if you don't like stairs request a lower floor.

Very disappointing experience. We visited Peppers Port Douglas for 3 nights over a long weekend and left after the two nights - foregoing the third, paid night. The room was seriously one of the smallest we have stayed in. I am sure it must have been the last room left or the room where the staff stay when they are doing a working overnight shift. You could not open the hotel room door and the cupboard at the same time and our luggage did not fit in the room. It was called the spa room - the spa was outside on the balcony - not in the actual room as it didn't fit. The service is NOT five star. The room next door had ordered room service and the meal stayed outside our door for over 24 hours even after calls were made to have it collected. The room was never made up before 3pm - again after repeated calls to have our room made and get fresh towels. The property sprinklers would go on automatically in the morning which wet anything you left on the balcony (because it didn't fit in the shoe box room).
The property's pool is amazing and it has all the potential but the service DOESN'T deliver and the room is 2-3 star at best. We left after the second night and would not return. We have stayed in Peppers at Kingscliff which is amazing.

Room Tip: Definitely NOT the spa room - size of a shoe box

We had a 2 bedroom + pool suite on the ground floor.
The entire place was clean, tidy, service was excellent, facilities were faultless.
The staff were friendly, location close to town with a neat rear entrance which was close to our room.
I will definitely visit Peppers Beach club again. Could not fault the place.

Great hotel, beautiful pool and location but unfortunately we weren't treated as guests! we booked our room through Belle Properties, rather than direct through Peppers because it was nearly 50% cheaper.
On the first night we attempted to order room service, our request was met with "sorry we're not able to serve you as your booked was though Belle Properties"..... This was ludicrous considering we were a paying customer and the only people financially benefiting from our room service order would have been Peppers.
As frequent visitors to Port Doulgas, we will definitely not be staying at Peppers again and will opt for a private holiday house. Disappointed.

Hello Sam M

By booking through Belle Properties on their discounted rate you are not staying as a guest of Peppers Beach Club and therefore do not have access to the services or facilities we offer to our guests. You are able to dine within the Restaurant and order from the bar by paying at the time as there is no charge back facility available unless you are staying as a guest of Peppers Beach Club. If you are wanting full service and Resort facility access I would suggest booking direct with the Resort next time.

Kind regards

Staff, service and food in the restaurant were terrific. Lagoon pool is great. Wouldn't recommend it for a honeymoon though. Our spa room on the first floor was facing the restaurant which is very noisy when they start setting up before 6am every day. Not very private in the spa on the balcony. A lot of young kids were staying there while we were, and looked like a better resort for families rather than couples. We would stay there with our kids in the future if Peppers had some affordable packages.

We could not believe how far we had to walk to get to our suite. We had organised a spa appartment on the 3rd floor. We had to walk around the back of the building then up 4 flights of stairs just to get in. There is no lift to get up there and after a while the up and down really takes its toll. The spa jets barely worked, so the spa appt was a waste of time and money. The pool is full of little kiddies and is very noisy with screaming children. There are only louvres no curtains so the morning sun is in first thing. No bbq area around the pool and drinks are only allowed in your room unless you purchase from the cafe. Although not really far to walk to the main street it is not in the heart of town. I think if they were to have a back gate to get in it would certainly be better than walking through reception and then around the back. The sun lounges around the pool were also uncomfortable, old and thin. I felt so sorry for the staff that have to service our room traipsing up and down those stairs with a bag full of linen etc. On a positive the bed was extremely comfortable. Sorry guys just didn't do it for us.

Thank you Colette s for taking the time to provide feedback.

It is extremely disappointing to note that we did not meet your expectation. The Resort area is quite compact so I am surprised that you felt your location was a distance to get to. There are two accommodation blocks that do not offer lift access however we do provide a conciege service which delivers and collects baggae. There is a back gate entrance to the Resort and also access through the carpark entrance, I do apologise if you were not informed of this. I note your comments on the sun lounges which we will look into. Great to note that you found the bed comfortable.

Kind regards
Robyn & Team
