“Great Stay and Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2014 via mobile

Arrived at hotel sulking from a cold as we had booked a one bedroom deluxe lagoon suite. Staff we're very considerate on asking availability of a 2 bedroom suite so my wife could get some sleep. Instead they gave us a one bedroom lagoon suite 104 and an adjoining spa room 103 for no extra cost which went above and beyond in our eyes and we greatly appreciated their kindness. The beach club is in a great location only a short walk to the main streets, restaurants and beach. The pool area is great with its own beach.
The suites were spacious and clean and only fault I noticed that the garden lights shone in at night through the shutters which lit the bedroom up instead of it being dark. The continental breakfast is also not worth it, much better to walk up the road and eat at one of the many nice cafés.
In all a great resort and would definitely stay here again.

Dear BustaStu,

Thank you for taking the time to post regarding your recent stay with us.

It was great to read your feedback RE: the service from the team on the front desk when you arrived – A great first impression goes a long what in our view. I hope everybody slept well.

You right in saying that we are in fantastic location we are only a very short walk from the main street of Port Douglas and of course beautiful Four Mile Beach.

I will have our maintenance team check all of the lights around the property to see if we can find the light that shone through your window – My apologies for that.

Thank you for your candid feedback regarding breakfast we are currently working in this space and are eagerly waiting new equipment, which is going to enable us to transform our breakfast offerings. I would welcome the opportunity to talk you personally to obtain your feedback in detail.

We look forward to welcoming you back to Peppers Beach Club and beautiful Port Douglas. Please feel free to contact the resort direct at portdouglas@peppers.com.au to organise your next stay.

Kind regards,

Came for a late valentines weekend with the girl. Room was very clean, staff friendly and professional. Spa on the balcony of our room was a bonus. Location is quite central easy walk to anything in Port. Dinner in the restaurant was pretty average, the breakfast is definitely better. Would stay again.

Hi Kristi,

Thank you for the great feedback – We love being able to share post like this with the team.

In regards to your room tip: The rooms with the own private swim up deck are the one bedroom lagoon rooms. Very popular and sell out very quickly.

Kristi, we look forward to welcoming you back. . Please feel free to contact the resort direct at portdouglas@peppers.com.au to organise your next stay.

We stayed at Peppers Beach Club in early February, thanks to a surprise gift from our children. The friendly service we received from everyone was exceptional. From arrival to departure everything was taken care of - always with a smile and friendly conversation. The large balcony of our second floor, self contained unit overlooked an amazing lagoon pool. The central location of Peppers was a bonus. We were only a short walk to the beach, town centre and the marina.
Our long awaited and very much appreciated holiday will be one we remember.

Room Tip: Corner units have a spacious balcony. Note: Double glass windows minimized road traffic noise in w...

This resort certainly lives up to its reputation.

We arrived there after requesting a transfer from another property that we where most unhappy with. We were greeted by the Acting GM Myra who was adept at listening to our concerns, was professional enough not to engage in any comment on the previous property and showed us the perfect room for us.

The resort pool was beautiful and very different making you quickly realise why it's called Peppers Beach Club!

The whole team welcomed us and and were keen to make sure we were happy during our stay , service was quick and the rooms where very well presented, clean and in very good condition.

On our departure our hire car would not start and the young porter /concierge even jump started us using his own car as waiting for the rescue service would have meant missing our plane. Now that's service !

We have used the group previously on a number of occasions but tended more to stay in Mantra resorts but our experience here has transformed us into ' Peppers People' and Myra has to take the main responsibility for that. She is a credit to the resort and the Peppers name.

Would not stay anywhere else in Port Douglas

Room Tip: We love the higher floors and the rooms on the road side where not noisy and you felt when you opene...

Recently we spent a surprise birthday weekend at Peppers and loved every moment from check in to the very reluctant check out. Special mention must be made of the amazing service we received when we walked into the foyer (not to mention the very welcome upgrade). The lagoon pool with beach is brilliant for lap swimming or just floating around in. The kids loved it. Happy hour well worth waiting for too with appropriate suggestions for Australia Day. Elizabeth in Housekeeping deserves special mention for her outstanding help. We'll be back again soon....
