Absolutely stunning facilities. We stayed for 3 nights in a pool swim out apartment. Rooms were absolutely incredible, fantastic facilities, bedrooms stunning, bathrooms very clean and roomy and spa in room - stunning pool views and access from room patio. In house Aqua Restaurant lovely and food delicious, and customer service impeccable. Fantastic access to Four Mile Beach which is just a gorgeous stroll. Spa services available - friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be planning another stay here in the future.

Room Tip: Best is to get a pool swimout room - great experience.

Currently day 5 of a week long stay and happy so far. First impressions count and we were greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. So nice to have refreshing cool towels after a drive. We arrived at 11am and understandably our room wasn't ready however we were offered the use of the ammenities, our luggage was taken care of and they gave us call when the room was ready at 1pm - well ahead of the usual check in time (what a contrast to the Pullman resort in bunker bay!) our two bedroom Vila had its own plunge pool ( handy when the main pool gets busy) and the rooms were spacious and well appointed. The rooms were well serviced and we received the paper daily. The food at aqua was surprisingly nice - and although the service was lovely there was a bit of a wait for the food. The main gripe would be that the main pool does get busy and the lounges do get taken up very early. So far would be happy to come back here the next time we are at port douglas.

We hope that you were as happy with the last few days of your stay as you were with the start! Thank you for your mid-stay review.

When the weather is so nice in Far North Queensland everyone wants to be beside the pool - we all sure do! We are glad that you were able to take full advantage of both the 3000m2 lagoon-style pool in the centre of the resort as well as the private plunge pool in your apartment.

We hope that you do come back to stay with us again next time you are visiting Port Douglas.

Having managed to secure a great rate of $149 a night for the Studio Spa Room on a major last minute holiday booking site, I was pleased with the value I got from this resort.
The usual prices are a little too much, and would likely have precluded me from staying here as I would have opted for something closer to town if I was to be paying $200+ a night.
Upon arrival at the Pullman Sea Temple Port Douglas, I was impressed with the pleasant and helpful welcome I received from David, one of the managers, at the front desk. His demeanour was most helpful and genuine - and it was nice to be met with a smile.
The resort is on large grounds, and has been built to potentially allow each apartment to be sold off at some stage in the future - kind of like a mini-housing estate, with a huge feature pool in the middle. There is also a heated outdoor spa at one corner of the pool, and a gate along the rear fenceline opens to a path which leads to Four Mile Beach. The overall vibe was contemporary and pleasant.
Staying in a Studio Spa Room, I found it adequate for 2 people, and was impressed with the in-room spa, as it really was big enough for 2 (or more) people. I had trouble figuring out the heating function however, as it didn't seem to really work, so I would just have to keep topping it up with hot water to keep it warm. The room was, essentially, a studio apartment without any amenities for cooking, not even a kitchenette, and I don't recall there being a microwave either though my memory may be failing me there!
My major gripe with the room was that it did not afford sufficient privacy - there were no sheer curtains or privacy curtains, meaning that if I didn't want a potentially unfettered view into my room, I had to keep the blinds down! I found this very unusual, and rather annoying at times. The rear patio area was essentially exposed without any screening, and at a 90 degree angle to the rear patio of the neighbouring room - all fine and dandy if you know the people in the neighbouring room, but perhaps a bit too friendly if you don't!
The main blinds were also installed in such a way that outsiders would be able to see inside by coming up to the glass sliding door, unless you tucked the blinds in behind the sliding door handles. This really needs a redesign.
My room was serviced daily, however tea and coffee were not replenished on the first day and I am always disappointed if this happens, especially at a 5 star establishment. After calling reception however, the problem was fixed and didn't happen again. Probably the result of housekeeping being asian students on 417 visas :P

To summarise:
Positives: Modern; Large Feature Pool; Heated Spa; Close to beach; Good service standard; Car Parking; Well signposted from main road; Nice tropical surroundings; Relaxed atmosphere

Negatives: Not even a kitchenette in Studio Rooms; Privacy issues resulting from design of blinds in ground floor room; Studio room lacks sufficient storage space for 2 suitcases; Location only convenient if you have your own transportation.

I'd recommend this as a place to stay, but not for $200+ a night for the smallest room. Still, I really enjoyed my time and wish I didn't have to leave!

Thank you for taking the time to provide your detailed review of your experience at the Resort. We're happy that you enjoyed your stay and didn't want to leave - that's always a great sign of a successful holiday.

The spa in the Studio Rooms really are huge, you're right! These rooms are great for a romantic escape for two people. The next room type up, an Apartment, features the kitchen facilities you were looking for, perfect for longer stays.

We appreciate the feedback on the blinds and the rear patio that you felt did not provide enough privacy.

Thank you for your kind words about our dedicated team member, we shall ensure these are passed onto him.

We look forward to seeing you next time you visit Port Douglas.

Wonderful, romantic, exclusive location. Direct access to beach and fantastic swimming pool. Very very quiet and peaceful. Suit couples - leave the kids at home! Apartment style so you can prep your own food. Restaurant excellent - great wine selection and the service is second to none. I have stayed in Pt Douglas many times and in alot of accomodation. This is by far the best.

Our family of four (two teenagers) spent the most wonderful 4 days here. The facility is beautiful and the staff could not have been any more pleasant. There is plenty to do within the resort if you want to stay active, or you can just peacefully relax. The location is also great for eloping the area around Port Douglas. I highly recommend the Pullman Sea Temple, and this is from a person who spends half of the year in various hotels around the world as part of my job!
