“Nice Eggs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We had breakfast here quite a few times and was always a great start to the day. Coffee was good as well, can be very busy at times and hard to get a spot.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

Just dusted the crumbs off of my lap from gorging on a 1/2 a pulled pork sandwich and Philly steak and cheese sandwich. Excellently hand crafted and well seasoned. Shocked to see the negative comments on here. They must have been having a very bad day! The service was fine its a sandwich bar, take your order smile a give correct change! Asked for a side of pickles and received a generous side with a smile! Highly recommended hope they open a another shop in Cairns I'd be there every Sunday arvo!

“Good Good, Average Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 8, 2013 via mobile

We went here for lunch as it is located in the centre of Port Douglas.

Initially no tables outside so we grabbed a table inside and placed our order at the bar. While we were waiting for our sandwiches a table outside became available so we grabbed it.

We then noticed that other tables who had arrived after us were getting their orders served. We then enquired as to where our order was only to be told that they couldn't find us??? The restaurant has less than 20 tables so shouldn't be that complicated!

Our food was served 10mins later and admittedly was very good. If only the service matched the quality of food.

“Not really worth waiting for...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 31, 2013 via mobile

We were looking forwar to trying this place as it had been closed all week for renovations but unfortunately, for breakfast, it didn't live up to the hype with what we ordered. Coffee was just ok but no where near the level of Origin Espresso which is only a relatively short walk down the road. The menu looked good but not overly child friendly. We had the baked beans which were good but needed seasoning and more chorizo. My wife had the vege fritters which were bland and the plate was mostly rocket leaves. The kids ended up having the chocolate brownies (I know, but last day and not a battle I choose to fight on the day) which were amazing. When we were there some friends came along and had the bacon and eggs and Eggs Benedict which they were impressed with so maybe we just made some bad choices. We would come back for lunch because the sandwiches do look amazing but that will be for a other trip. Just one thing about the service, it wasn't overwhelming. I had to go in for the menus and you then have to go to the counter to order. When the waitress bought out one of plates she handed it to me as there was no room left on the table and she hasn't cleared some if our previous plates. She them didn't come back for 15 minutes so I had to rearrange the table my self or eat on my lap!

“Food is excellent, service ------ what service?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

The food here was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was very ordinary and the enthusiasm shown by some of the waiting staff was totally lacking. Whether this is normal or just happened to be an off day who knows but we did not bother going back to find out.
