Bazaar at QT Resort is situated on the grounds of the old Rydges Reef Resort Port Douglas.
The restaurant itself isn't huge, but it's a good size, and the concept is interesting.
The food was generally of a good quality, but my introduction by the staff member was a little rushed and I ended up being a little uninformed about what was available to me. Only once I'd filled myself up and had dessert, for example, did I find out that salmon was also available at the cook-to-order station. The chefs were however happy to help, and I suppose all you have to do is ask "what do you have to offer?"
I did enjoy the food and my night here, and certainly didn't leave hungry. There were a variety of dishes available, and a good selection at the seafood buffet, plus a small but tasty selection of desserts, including pavlova and nice little pecan tarts.
Ambience was generally pleasant, nobody fought over access to the serving area, though I did go on a reasonably quiet night.
I enjoyed my experience overall. Would I go again? Probably not, but only because the concept isn't that new to me, and it was on the pricey side for what I got. As a more "civilised" buffet option in Port Douglas it's certainly worth considering, but don't dismiss all the other great dining options in this town. Additionally I don't believe tea or coffee were included in the price which I found disappointing.

Woweeeeee robol! That is one impressive portfolio you have. I don't think I've seen such a big swag of reviews before.

That makes it all the more special that we hit the mark on our offering and whilst you think you mightn't return, I completely understand that a person who loves to experience everything that Port Douglas has to offer you would be more inclined to try out the other options in town. We hope they are wonderful too.
We would like to take care of you again should you choose to come back, and once again, we are so pleased to have impressed. Apologies on the tea and coffee. You are correct that no beverages are included in the price.
