3 girlies (read middle aged) on a trip round Oz, not back packing!. The 2 bed appartment had verything we needed and more. It was great to get the laundry done in your own place. There was loads of space and the ktichen was like home from home so much so we stayed in all 3 nights to enjoy our home cooked food rather than being forced tp eat out. Perfect.

3 girlies (read middled aged) on a jaunt round Oz and this place suited all our needs. We stayed in a 2 bed and it was really spacious and so well equipped. It was great to get the laundry done in your own place.

We stayed in a three bedroom apartment facing the beach. You cannot see the beach from the apartments but the morning sun is nice. The apartment had everything one could want for a holiday. Two bedrooms with king beds and one with twin beds. There is a large bathroom off the main bedroom and another bathroom for the other two bedrooms at the other end of the apartment. In between there is a large open living area including the well equipped kitchen, a dining area and the lounge area. We had two large balconies; one off the living area which had a outdoors dining setting and another off the main bedroom.

The furnishings are all good quality and comfortable. We had a full set of kitchen appliances, cooking and eating utensils. There was a dishwasher but we didn't use that. Our only complaint was that the all the markings had been rubbed off the oven controls and so using the oven was very hit and miss.

The other odd thing was the thermostat to control the central air conditioning was not located in any of the main rooms but in the utility room and even there it was not easy to find. It wasn't any great problem but just a very odd design.

The complex has free parking which is good because the main shops are about 15 -20 minutes away by foot which is a bit far for carrying groceries so a car is handy. There are two swimming pools. One is tiny and really a plunge pool. The main pool is about 20 m long but only about 2 m wide so there's not much room when more than a few people want to swim at the same time.
We didn't use the tennis court which looked to be in very good condition.

All in all this is a very good choice for an apartment stay in Port Douglas provided you don't mind the small pool.

We recently got married in Port Douglas and organised a number of apartments for guests. Everyone who stayed there commented on how lovely the accommodation was. The location is central and convenient for both the main street and beach. The apartments are the most spacious we have seen for this kind of complex and tastefully furnished. The communal facilities are well maintained including BBQ areas, pool and tennis courts. The only minor gripe is the lack of shade in the pool area. Recommended highly!
