Spent 6 nights at the Nimrod Apartments in July. About 10 minutes drive from centre of Port Douglas, and about 10 minute walk from the beach. Nice quiet area, but you do need a car to get to shops, bars etc.
Apartments are a little tired, but well designed, set in pretty garden area. The pool was nice, if a little cold. My husband and son enjoyed using the tennis court. Reception only open during the day. We arrived at 6pm, in the dark, our key was stuck on the office door, not the most welcoming start!
Rooms are not serviced during stay, and when you run out of toilet paper etc, you have to buy your own.
Overall, there is nothing terribly wrong with these apartments, I'm sure no-one would not enjoy their stay, but I feel small improvements would actually make a lot of difference.

About 10 min drive to PD town centre and 5 mins walk from the south end of four mile beach.

We had a comfortable two bedroom apartment with a view of the pool and tennis courts. The rooms were spacious and everything neat and servicable. The office staff are friendly, well informed and happy to help.

We did have to arrange for our own provisions like washing detergent, soaps, shampoo, extra coffee, sugar etc and so spent a slice of our 3 day vacation at Coles.

All in all, a decent place to stay at a great price.
