“Stunning dining view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 via mobile

Really good location to unwind or have a nice lazy lunch. We had dinner and my only problem was I got calamari which tasted great but it was in a high bowl which was hard to cut. The fish was nice and moist.
Service staff were pleasant and run off their feet the night we were there.
The fancy bit of this place is the view...amazing

“Good food, outstanding sunset views.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

Good honest club food, lively casual atmosphere but the view - just sensational view across the inlet for a sunset behind the mountains, to die for. Gets very crowded so get there easily.

“Over rated but ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We arrived after the rush ( about 7pm) and got a table almost immediately. We had previously had a morning coffee here and were looking forward to great views & food. Unfortunately, after dark the place takes on an almost canteen like ambience with fluorescent lighting meaning you can't take in the view. The ambience at the nearby yacht club was much nicer ( nice lighting, garden setting & you can see the yachts) . Maybe the atmosphere would be better earlier pre darkness, but being from the UK we aren't used to eating dinner out pre 8pm & it's a nightmare having to queue for the bar and queue to order food separately.

Service was prompt ( too prompt for us probably, as we like to enjoy a drink before our food, but probably our own fault for ordering food before queuing for the bar, but we thought it looked very busy and would take a while) . Wine glasses provided for white wine were warm and still wet from washing... Yuck...would have sent husband back but the queue was ridiculous. Starters were ok ( prawn skewers) and kids enjoyed decent garlic bread. Unfortunately my main ( pork on sweet potato) was almost inedible. . All overcooked and smothered in thick gravy which gave it a look and flavour of 1970's school dinners. Perhaps if you stick to fish or steak you are on safer ground.

Overall, we thought the yacht club was much better & on our last day we heard that the surf club is much, much better ....don't go for the hype just because its the nearest club to the main marina. We wouldn't bother going back to the Tin Shed for an evening meal - but OK for daytime snacks etc.

“Great deck and view by the inlet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013 via mobile

A bit uninviting from the front but walk right through to a popular place for a drink and ok pub food at reasonable prices. Order at the counter and try for a table around the edge. Generally a more elderly crowd but mixed ages overall.

“Popular and good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

This place is always buzzing, lovely view in the daytime. Quite casual, pub-like. My chicken parmigiana was ok but my friend loved her tuna and prawn skewer. Very popular place and decent prices for OZ where everything is so expensive. I didn't like the florescent style lighting but no one else seemed to mind.
