“Better than the Best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

This reef trip stood out from others I've taken. The ratio of 8 passengers to two crew meant we had personalised attention. The crew were also responsive to our skill levels, interests and needs, and flexible in terms of where we snorkelled. The fact they had a small dingy with an outboard motor meant they could transport, drop off and pick up with ease. The food, including prawns, was cooked on board, so we got to smell and anticipate before we ate. The boat ride was a dream, and I'll never forget the beautiful view of the mainland in misty shades of mauve, blue and grey.

“Great Sail”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2013

What a fantastic day of sailing at the Great Barrier Reef. The sailing was very smooth since the boat is a catamaran. There is a maximum of 12 passengers on the boat (there were only 8 on the day we went) so we were treated like royalty. Snacks and lunch were provide and were delicious. Graham, the skipper, was also the chef for lunch. Hannah was his crew and was also excellent. Being a sailor, the best part for me was the chance to take the helm on the way back to Port Douglas.
While we were eager to see the outer reef, Graham made the right decision by going to Lower Isles as the winds were very strong. But the sailing and snorkeling were still fantastic.
I would HIGHLY recommend this trip over the larger tour boats, especially since the prices are about the same.

“Fantastic Ride - Awesome Crew - Great Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Perfect day on the reef. Intimate setting with only 12 people max on board. The skipper Troy and Hostess Hannah were both professional and personable. Hannah attended to each person and made sure we were all enjoying ourselves. Troy was the grill master. Food was superb - fish, prawns, chicken, salad, and various snack plates throughout the cruise. The reef location provides an abundance of sea life. We saw a whale, dolphins, sea turtle, and various other reef fish. I really loved the giant clams and parrot fish. The coral is majestic and very colorful.

Loved it and highly recommend!

“Quality trip but check the weather”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We booked to go on this trip as part of an extended tour of Australia. We saw it as a more personal way of visiting the Reef compared to the Quicksilver mass trips. It had been recommended by friends.

Ths decision was well founded and the service was excellent and entirely as described in their brochure. Our problem was that it was too windy for us to go out to the Barrier Reef proper and we went to the Low Islands instead and the snorkeling there is very average.

I have no critism of the operator as they have a 24 hour cancellation policy which I could have excercised but chose not to in the end. They were straight with me that the trip would most likely to be to the Low Islands. Trouble was the weather was poor for several days so we did not have other options.

In hindsight a well conceived excursion but probably not worth the moey if you don't get to te Reef proper.

“Great day, boat, guides and food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2013

Sailed yesterday and couldn't be happier with our experience on this boat! From the welcome when we stepped on to the knowledgable crew who were always there to help and/or answer our questions, taking extra time to even let our teenage boys help sail. The food was more than can be expected on a boat or on a one day trip to the reef, excellent just doesn't do it justice, really, really good! Just a great day all around!
