“Great atmosphere!!! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2013

The restaurant is decorated beautifully and tastefully in Balinese style with nice timber or wooden furniture. It has very welcoming feel to it as soon as you step in the front door of the restaurant and was greeted warmly by the staff. Very airy and open. The seating is comfortable and not cramped. The restaurant was almost full on a Saturday night but it wasn't noisy due to the design of the restaurant and the clever arrangement of the settings. We can have great conversations with our friends without having to shout over the top of all the noise from other patrons. The food was very tasty and full of flavour. The sate we had for entrees was tender and moist. The peanut sauce that accompanied the sate was very authentic not just water down peanut butter serve in most westernised Asian restaurant. The grilled marinated seafood was perfectly cook. Loved the Spanish mackerel fillets! Never knew Spanish mackerel could taste so good. Would have love to to try the desert but was unfortunately too full to try the desert. Next time. Greatly recommended!!

“Best Balinese Food in Australia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

When in Cairns you must dine here if you like Balinese Food.
It is hard to find a better Balinese food offer unless you go to Sanur or Kuta. Great selection & presentation with very authentic flavours and menu selection.Tropical setting helps make atmosphere special.
Suggest you book( especially if you want to sit outside) as restaurant is very well patronised being linked to Bay Village Resort.

“Balinese Food Elegantly Prepared and Presented”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2013

Upon a recommendation from the hotel, I took the opportunity to explore Balinese cuisine, and I am glad that I did. I had the soup and tofu dish with my companion having the special of the day, roasted pork. Both were excellent. The portions are generous and presentation exquisiite. And at this time of the year, the dining experience was memorable with the wide open windows allowing the tropical breezes to flow through the space. Very nice and highly recommended.

“Friendly atmosphere, diverse menu with authentic flavours. Service and food quality variable during the week.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

We have dined twice at this restaurant, the first on a Friday evening (4 pax) and the second time on a Tuesday evening (5 pax). Our experience on Friday was much better than Tuesday's experience as there were more waiting staff who also seemed more experienced. The meal and service on Friday was superb, particularly the lamb curry and tamarind fish. The dessert platter with 3 choices was delightful. On Tuesday one of the dishes - BBQ pork spare ribs - was a little too charred. We ordered green tea to drink with the meal which took around 30 minutes to get. It arrived as tea bags rather than leaf tea in a teapot. With less waiting staff on Tuesday, service was slow. The negative issues were not so significant that we wouldn't dine there again, but we will definitely go on busy nights rather than during the week.
