My wife and I stayed here for two nights in mid March. Arrived to a very wet and windy Cairns in the early hours of the morning and made our way to the apartments. As we arrived at 5.30am we were not able to check in as reception didn't open until 7am, though I supose we should have informed them of our early arrival in person rather than by e-mail. However security were able to store our bags and were very helpful offering tea etc.
When we got checked at in 10am we were thrilled to see the room which we had been provided with. It was a one bedroom apartment with a large balcony overlooking the pool and out towards the sea. Yes there was a bit of building work going on next door but this did not disturb us at any time and only slightly impacted on the view. There was a kitchen area with all utensils you could require, a washer and dryer in the bathroom and one of the most powerful showers I have ever experienced.
Reception were extremely helpful during our short stay especially when it came to recommending trips and tours etc and will even make the bookings for you. Took a great trip into the rainforest to Kuranda village on the skyrail. This is a cable car ride to the top of a mountain over the rainforest - spectacular views even through the mist and clouds. You can then return via a scenic railway.
