“Pleasant stroll”

You can have a self directed walk through the Cairns Botanic Gardens. Interesting walks and well labeled. The Cafe was a relaxing oasis.

“A "must do"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

A wonderful, immaculately maintained facility with easy access and plenty of parking! These gardens are packed full of botanic delights and certainly showcase what can be achieved in terms of a tropical garden. There are two restaurants/snack bars to choose from and both are quite adequate.

“Nice, but lots of mosquitoes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

Lovely set of interconnected gardens, but the mosquitoes are a real issue. You need to douse yourself in repellant before you go. Even with the repellant, we still were bitten multiple times.

“Nature captivity”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2013

We visited the garden while staying for one night at Cairns and to us this garden is just beautiful. We can find native plants in a captivity, something different to visit. Some of plants that are exist in my country (Indonesia) also planted there. The cafe and other setting also contributes to the attraction for people who enjoys nature when visiting Cairns.
