Fantastic food and location. Open restaurant. Also had Andrea Mullins signing so made it a very pleasant atmosphere.

“Wow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2011

This restaurant has to be one of the best places we have eaten.
Being in the tropics, it is great to walk into a huge open area restaurant, that looks out onto beautiful big paperbark trees across the front of the restaurant.
As it was night when we arrived for our dinner, we were not able to really see the surrounds, but the feeling is very much of being outdoors in the midst of a tropical forest, which is probably just what it is. As we live in Cooktown/Cairns, we will certainly go out to the resort in the day for lunch or drinks, and see what we missed in the dark.
Now for the food. Wow is the best we can say. The flavours are amazing. We were at a table for four, and we all had different meals. For entrée I had the tasty duck pancakes, which consisted if three good size pancakes, and the most delicious delicate salad. My husband had the special of the day for entrée Thai beef salad. Again amazing flavours.
Our friends shared the Tempura prawns, perfectly cooked.
For mains my husband again had the special of the day which was a very flavoursome Curry. I had a seafood pasta dish, that was full of a great variety of seafood, and the flavour was amazing, I have never had such tastes in a pasta, and pasta is one of my favourite foods. The portion was certainly way more than I could eat.[most unusual for me]
Our friends meals were equally as tasty, and perfectly cooked. They then shared a chocolate mousse dessert, of which we all had a taste. It was very rich and delicious.
Just writing this review makes me want to drop everything and head back for more taste sensations now.
Oops nearly forgot the staff. They were all very attentive, and helpful. It was lovely to be served with smiles and a little light hearted banter. All of which added to the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant.
Well done to all the staff and a special thank you to the chefs for those amazing flavours.
