“Beautiful and Calming”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 27, 2014

The centenary lakes are a lovely spot for a walk, picnic or just to chill.. they have a freshwater and saltwater lake as well as bamboo and messmate forest and a rainforest walk along meandering boardwalks.

loads of signposts 'you are here' and maps, almost impossible to get lost even though the paths roam and meander around

toilets and bbq facilities make it a great place for a day out

“Botanic gardens and surrounds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

Less than informative, very few information plaques, and not worth the visit. Too few seating areas.

“Great way to spend afternoon”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

The plants are unusual, the setting is stunning and it is a great day for young and old. I really enjoy it just for lunch or to run off some small child energy.

“A magical part of Cairns”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

It is quite simple. When in Cairns and you have a spare couple of hours, make your way to the gardens. An easy bus ride from Lake Street and well worth the visit. There are public toilets and a cafe set amongst the lush tropical surrounds.
