“Another perfect visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014 via mobile

This was our third visit to Canaston Oaks and it felt like we were visiting family. Eleanor, David and Emma are the most perfect family to run this wonderful place. They gave us such a warm welcome and nothing at all is ever too much trouble for them. Our little boy even calls David, Grandad.
We stayed in the top room, The Ash which has it's own beautiful fully equipped kitchen, large bedroom area and a lovely bathroom. It's large but extremely cosy and beautifully decorated (as are all the rooms).
Breakfast is ordered the night before and the selection is huge and very scrummy. Along with a cooked option you also have a choice of cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts and toast.
This genuinely is one of the loveliest places we've ever visited and we will keep returning every year. We are looking forward to seeing all the new additions next year. Thank you so much for a fantastic stay.

My family and I recently stayed in the family suit. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Beautiful rooms, and a lovely private patio area at the back which the children loved. Excellent breakfast and very good service. Ideal location, close to many family attractions. All in all, a perfect place to stay, just a shame we only stayed one night...we will definitely be returning!

We stayed for 5 nights over the Bank holiday. Mainly to relax, but also to visit family in Swansea. The photographs and reviews made this place seem too good to be true - but it truly is absolutely brilliant.
We were welcomed by David and shown our superb suite. Large bedroom with TV and DVD - bathroom with spa bath and a wonderful conservatory with never ending views.
I was amazed by it all - and then pleasantly surprised by the fact the bed was King size. I have been known to fall out of normal double beds in hotels...!
The conservatory not only had nice seating and table but also a fully equipped drinks area - tea, coffee (instant and ground), hot chocolate, biscuits and lovely chocolates, below a fridge with fresh milk and chilled water. We took advantage of the fridge by filling it with our champagne, soft drinks and cider!
The entire suite was spotless and each room has underfloor heating which took the chill off in the evenings as there is still one thing none of us have any control over - the weather! Even though we visited in May it was still a bit chilly due to the constant drizzle. That said - this place is still fabulous in the rain....so in the sunshine it will be even better - if that can be possible! But then you can use the seating on your own little patio..
It is essential to have a car as the farm is not near to anywhere - which in itself makes it so special. But within just a few miles you have the pretty village of Narberth where you have a huge selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. We would suggest you eat at a reasonably early hour and then spend the evening with a drink and a good book looking out at the surroundings. Should you wish to bring back some take-away such as a pizza you are welcome to eat it in the dining room, but although we knew this there are just too many nice eating places around in Narberth to bother!
We had brought DVD's as well as being shown the vast selection David and Eleanor had on offer - but it was just too nice just to sit and relax, so no films were viewed!
Each night you order your breakfast so when you entered the exquisite dining room your food appeares as by magic. The choice was huge - far greater than most top hotels. We both tried a few over our 5 days and everything was 1st class. And not only tasty and well cooked - but local too. On top of the cooked breakfast you have a large selection of cereals, home made jams and fresh fruit salads. Fresh juices and as much toast as you can muster!
David, Eleanor and Emma make you feel like a friend of the family and you really do not want to leave. Sadly we had to - but this is a place we will return to, on our own, with the family and with friends.

I stayed here the night before a meeting. I was apprehensive staying in a court yard setting and not in a single hotel but my stay was truly wonderful. I arrived late but had a lovely welcome waiting for me. My room was one of the best I've stayed in. The bedding was excellent Egyptian cotton, with a cafe tier, home made chocolates and shortbread biscuits waiting. Along with the hair drier there was a set of straighteners. Excellent value with towelling robe and new slippers. Although I probably would not have booked for leisure the area was stunning and I would now consider taking my family. The breakfast was again amazing with so much food on offer. The attention to detail was outstanding. Took away lots of ideas for the garden too. I stay away on business often but never write reviews but needed to review this hotel.

My wife and myself stayed here this weekend, and we had a fabulous time. A warm welcome from Dave on arrival set the tone for the weekend. Our comfortable and nicely decorated room overlooked the rural surroundings and added to the tranquil setting. Full Breakfast was superb, lots of local produce and a vast variety of cereals and fruit on offer, and again the genuine friendliness of all the staff. The best seat is the window overlooking the bird feeders, which attracted lots of species (the one outside our room had a regular woodpecker visit). It's a great base to explore pembrokeshire from as Tenby is only 15-20mins by car away, and Narberth is 5 mins!

We stayed here for two nights whilst visiting for a friends birthday party. These type of bed and breakfast places are becoming more and more popular and this one is one of th ebest we have stayed in. The rooms are beautifully fiited out, with a lovely en-suite bathroom. The undferfloor heating caught us out - in a good way! The breakfast is lovely, with a good range of choices of cooked options, plenty to choose from.

As a location it fits the boll too,l with a number of lacal attractions in easy driving distance. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Pembrokeshire.

Room Tip: Each room is named after a type of tree - all are excellent. We stayed in Hawthorne, which is conne...
