“Magicalwedding night!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

My husband organised our wedding night to be at the Emporium Hotel, as a surprise to me. We had a lovely room that had candles and music going as we walked in, rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed, and French Champagne and choc-dipped Strawberries on the sideboard, chilled and ready to go. The bottles of water by the bed were a god-send! The room was spacious enough, and having the hidden kitchenette was a nice surprise! The in-suite breakfast the next morning was divine, and way too much food with the full hot and continental. It became lunch too!! We went for a sauna and a swim in the morning, which was lovely and the pool was a perfect temperature. Then relaxed in the room and reminisced about the wedding with a glass of wine and the rest of the strawberries, and a spa in the spabath before our 1pm checkout. I couldn't fault the service.

I have only once stayed at the Emporium before this year, although always enjoyed the precinct with its great eating places that have suited our family while living in Brisbane in 2012. Having stayed twice in recent months, it really is fantastic place to stay, in my instance for work. The rooms are to my mind very large and very well appointed and the staff are excellent. The only thing to consider is the restaurant is dinner only, however with many cages within a block, it is easily resolved.

Emporium was so much better than anything else we have stayed in around Brisbane. Our stay was 4 nights in Brisbane and one thing we enjoyed was the close proximity to the RnA show grounds and top classy restaurants were within walking distance. This nice but different hotel was a nice change.

Beautiful chick hotel. Great service. Great cocktail bar. Nice and central to many restaurants. Stay in a room on the top floor so you can enjoy afternoon drinks and breakfast on your own personal balcony.

Room Tip: Stay in a room on the top floor - as rooms are larger and there is a great balcony to enjoy breakfas...

Emporium was even better than expected. Our family had one night in Brisbane and one week before we arrived my husband suggested we find a different hotel than the chain cbd hotel I had originally booked. Before our vacation he was traveling on business and had stayed in the cbd and suggested we would not be happy if we went back to this same hotel so I did some research and switched to The Emporium. We were very happy that we did. In my opinion the rooms are nicer than they appear online. We were a family of 4 traveling with teens and they provided us with rooms that could be entered through one central door that lead to entrances to the 2 rooms. One of the rooms was also able to be set up with 2 twins (which I did not realize they could do from the website). The rooms are both styllish and comfortable. The concierge was very helpful. My son had left his sneakers in the last location and they researched locations and options for us to find another pair - and even offered to go pick one up for us as we were arriving in the late afternoon. While they don't have a full restaurant there are plenty of wonderful spots to eat breakfast - or you can order room service.

We've staying in Brisbane many times before, all in "5 Star" & I have to say, Emporium has been the only hotel so far with the wow factor. From the lobby, to the rooms, the decor is quirky, modern & oozes sex appeal. Upon check in, the first room smelled slightly of smoke & the lovely bell boy was quick to usher me back down stairs so that another room could be organised. I had an ironing incident which resulted in a stain on a white shirt that my partner was set to wear to the Reds Gala that night. The duty manager Justin was quick to the rescue & although it looked like the shirt was ruined, the hotel wash & pressed the shirt with plenty of time to spare. Thank you Justin, service like that is hard to find! Loved the cocktail bar downstairs, picture chandeliers & french champagne. The hotel is also surrounded by luxury shopping & dining precinct which ties everything in perfectly! All in all, I really couldn't fault Emporium & wouldn't look any further. We will definitely stay again :)

We were really impressed by this hotel. We have stayed at a number of 4 and 5 star hotels and this one stuck out because of the great attitude of the staff. We particularly want to recommend using to the concierge service as they have great local knowledge & can advise on places to eat/ things to do during your stay - Paul was especially helpful & arranged our trip to Australia Zoo.
The bedrooms are beautiful, we stayed in a king spa room which had huge, deep spa bath. Cocktail bar downstairs & rooftop pool/ sauna/ gym were great too but didnt get much opportunity to use them during our stay.

Room Tip: The king spa room is totally worth the extra dollars
