“An outstanding experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2013

Everything about our stay was fantastic! From the every friendly and helpful (but not pretentious staff) in reception, concierge and room service to the very well equipped and maintained room this hotel exceeded our expectations. The in room breakfast was outstanding too!

Room Tip: all rooms seem to be well placed with no street noise.

Even with the best of experiences, I always have an opinion about how people can better run there business. Well not this time. It was spot on. Service, comfort , amenities, staff etc. They do not even have a restaurant and my in-room dining experience was delicious!
They obviously know what they are doing and do it with confidence. As a single traveler, the hotel choice was especially important. My daughter attending UQ would visit me often and they made her feel like a special guest as well. Thank you Emporium for making my daughter and I feel oh so comfortable and cared for. Special thanks to Paul and Jeremy. it is difficult to stand out among so many stars but they managed to do so.

I stayed in the Emporium a couple of weekends ago...it was a last minute decision to celebrate my daughters 16th birthday ...I had driven for 5 hours and arrived around 8 pm. The staff just went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating ...even to the point of guiding me in when i got lost in the mishmash of Brisbane City Streets. The hotel is stylish , comfortable and the rooms are just beautiful. I can t speak highly enough of how well we were looked after. And I am a harsh judge of hotels. No it doesn't have a restaurant but there is a great selection in the square ..we ate late at an excellent Italian next door . When I'm next in Brisbane ill definitely use the Emporium , one of my most pleasant stays at a hotel in recent memory.

A friend and I stayed at the Emporium 3rd and 4th May. The whole hotel from lobby to rooms is very cool. The rooms were very funky, large, well appointed, and of outstanding quality. The service and facilities were first class. The experience all round was fabulous - great location, wonderful restaurants close by and the Champagne Lounge was superb. The Emporium is one of the best hotels I have stayed in Brisbane and one of the best from all of my world travels.

This is officially my favourite hotel in Australia, and probably the world!
From the moment you arrive you will notice the difference - the attention to detail in the public areas and the rooms is a refreshing change from your average 'chain' hotel, and the staff call you by name.

Our room was a 'spa suite', and it was really spacious with an enormous bed and funky decor! There were huge fluffy monogrammed pool towels neatly folded and teasing us to try out the rooftop lap pool ... which we duly did. The pool area was spotlessly clean (another nice change from your run-of-the-mill chain hotels) and the pool was deliciously warm. There were even free bottles of water chilling by the sunbeds if you got thirsty.

We had our own spa bath in our large, spacious bathroom - and it was a modern, clean bath (not like the yucky old things you normally see - and which I won't get into as you end up bathing in the last user's detritus!). It ran a self-clean cycle all by itself after you used it.

The bed was the most comfortable that I have slept in for a long time. It had a posteurpedic mattress with a thick topper on it, which probably helped. The mini bar was on steroids and had everything you could possibly want in it ... and in case you got a hangover, there was a small packet of painkillers to ease the headache! That's forethought for you.

Around the hotel there are a selection of tasteful restaurants, cafes and shops. And if you're into cars, from our room we could see the sparkling new Ferraris etc. in the showroom of the dealership across the road.

I can't fault this hotel, we had an amazing stay and we'll definitely be back. Put this on your list of must-stay places!
