“Service fantastic still needs some renovation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013

Loved staying at this hotel. We were told it was a five star hotel but I have to be honest it is really four star. The staff are superb particularly Annie in the lounge and Grant. The room needed some sprucing in. One of our rooms the tap dripped all night, the other three toilet needed creative jiggling to stop the flushing. The bathroom was not give star, the shower over the bath was a little tired and if you were a large person the bath would be a challenge. I would recommend that the hotel put something in the bed to soften it as it was hard. I do have a pet peeve and that is internet. When staying at a five or even four star hotel why not throw in internet. Honestly it is really essential these days and it is such a pain to not be able to use it in the room.
If you want a lovely stay in a great location then I recommend the pullman. I would stay again but I hope that they have fixed the bathrooms by then.

On the morning of our check in I received a text offering a paid upgrade at an amazing price- which we took. I had to ask about it after our standard room had been allocated as I originally thought it was spam SMS. Anyway after a quick change of room we ended up on the 14th floor with executive club access (breakfast, drinks and canapés 5:30-7:30, all day coffee etc), mineral water daily, wifi inclusive too.....couldn't be happier!
Room was very spacious- king bed, separate two seater lounge, desk area and also two single seats around a Coffee table. There was a Nespresso machine with pods!
Service received everywhere was excellent and when we headed down to the executive lounge found a great spread of wine and beer- we turned around and there were free pour spirits plus a few small bites to eat. First night we were pretty much left to our own devices- two big screens, papers, books and a couple of computers to use as well. The next night there was a staff member filling drinks and being perfectly attentive if you wanted it.
Breakfast in the executive lounge was again good- very good selection fruit and pretty much anything cooked to order should you please. The staff member was LOVELY and accommodating and we felt extremely well looked after. Thumbs up here for service an value.
Location wise this spot is an absolute gem :) right across from the King George Square and all the shopping you could possibly want. I was here for a work conference but certainly spent some time in the shops too! Loads of food options on the doorstop and under 2km to the nightlife on Ann Street- although we walked to other places from the hotel on the Friday.
Taxi's out the front waiting- make sure if they don't recognise "Pullman" on your return trip you mention that it was called the "Sebel". Two different train stations within 300m. From the airport the train would be cheapest $32 for two adults- but we just missed the train and they go every half hour so caught a taxi- $51.
Taxi to the convention centre was never more than $12.50.
Overall we had a fantastic stay- it was our 4th different Pullman stay for the year and considering it was a super "wotif" deal it was amazing value.

Staff and service was excellent. .Excellent location in heart of Brisbane - close to shopping and all facilities .Recommend Executive Club facilities. One of the best hotels we have stayed at and would strongly recommend it to any visitor to Brisbane.

We stayed one night at this hotel, as we had a work function to attend in the hotel. Food at the function was ok. Room was clean and neat. There were some minor issues with fixtures in the bathroom, but overall pretty good. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was not bad. Wasn't the best spread I've seen, but not the worst either. Lots of variety. Overall I enjoyed my stay here, although I felt that the hotel may be lacking just a little shine - particularly in the food department.

Room Tip: Our room faced the Albert Street Church and we had the morning sun in our room which was nice. (June...

This hotel is in the heart of Brisbane CBD and has had a recent name change - hence the fact that although there is a taxi rank right outside the door many of the cab drivers did not know where the hotel was. This was an on going complaint that I had about the taxi drivers of Brisbane - who drove like they were in Bombay but had poor knowledge of the city. This complaint I passed on to the chief concierge of the hotel who couldn't have been more helpful in assisting us to find our way to our business meetings. Very handy to all amenities.

Restaurant was excellent - outstanding breakfast bar and extremely good food in the evening. Service was superb.

Room was a little tired in the decor - hence not able to give this hotel my best rating. However, the housekeeping was of a high standard. A plea to all hoteliers - please consider the pillows that you provide; no everyone likes a hard pillow. There would appear to be a range of room options and I probably had one of the cheaper ones.

Room Tip: Not having seen other rooms one is unable to comment on best rooms. However, that matters less if yo...

I stayed this beautiful hotel 2 night as a part of our sports team away game.
We normally couldn't afford such a splash and beautiful hotel.
The lobby is classic but contemporary taste and all staff are well trained and friendly.
Our room was nothing special but, well designed and equipped comfortable place we liked very much.
This is very small thing, but I really like their soap which standard in room.
It looks like a ordinarily soap we can see at any hotel/motel, but it's not.
Small things but I really enjoy it.
We didn't have a chance to use pool, GYM and massage service, but would be nice as a option to kill time.
We all enjoyed breakfast. It's not big space, but plenty of food and option.

As other reviewer mentioned the location is excellent. Easy to access all Brisbane central places. (Well we moved with rent cars and small truck, so we didn't appreciate much the benefit of location this time.)
I heard parking cost was not so friendly....

Overall, whatever you do in Brisbane, this is excellent place to stay.
