Owner description: The Brisbane River is perfect for adventure, leisure and recreation. Go kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or take a trip on a City Cat. Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. Try Story Bridge Adventure climb, cycle, rollerblade or go for a jog. Dance with the local aboriginal tribe, Mirrabooka or visit South Bank. However you look at it you can't visit Brisbane without experiencing the River. Then cruise out to Tangalooma Island Resort for a must do experience. Enjoy!

“Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

This is a beautiful City and a wonderful river to cruise.. I highly recommend a visit..South Bank is amazing the kids loved it there. We couldn't believe there is a tropical beach right next to the City..All for free..some of the restaurant's there were expensive and average so if you have a family and a budget bring lunch or BBQ food as lots there to use

5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

the Brisbane River is full of water and runs through the city of Brisbane. There are free ferries to take you up and down and back again stopping at all the main places you would want to stop. Hop off at the Eden St Pier for sophisticated and not so sophisticated eats and at South Bank or Maritime museum for other places to eat and drink - including the Ship (now ruined) and the 'Gabba' for test cricket

“Clean wholesome refreshing riverside enjoyment”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Appreciation for a clean healthy river is a must. Wherever your eye took you too , the view was of lush vegetation, neat clean parks, and river cruises at sunsets, quite surreal. Added to the splendor are the many beautifully designed bridges taking you from one part of the city to places beyond that follow the river route. A pleasure to see, experience and capture the essence of picnics, BBQ's, magnificent walking paths and drives and the smell of water under the capsule of a canoe or river boat. Ideal for families, couples, solo travelers , city dwellers and tourists alike. Catering is provided on sunset cruises. Fees for boat trips we used. Parks with facilities free. Traveling by car sightseeing priceless
Made for living in and with nature.

“Ferry view of river”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

We had missed the cruise so we took the ferry down river - it is about 2 hours round trip. Well worth the time to obtain views of Brisbane. Not quite up to five stars of Sydney cruise.
