Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. “Best Attraction In Brisbane”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

The river is beautiful, very interesting to experience by the free hopper or by the City Cat. You can also experience it by a private canoe or a rented kayak. If you have non of the above, just go to the Cliffs on the Kangaroo Point and see the sunset, a view that you will never forget.

“Great city attraction”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

I loved Brisbane it was so clean and friendly. Go down to the south bank and walk along the Arbour which winds its way past the ferris wheel (worth a spin, great views) see the Nepalese peace pagoda, the arena, the beach, the pools, the restaurants, bars and so on. There is plenty to see and do and the Arbour walk was in full bloom when we went which is treat on its own. Take a boat ride down the river, we got the tourist boat the sets off by the wheel. Good commentary about the buildings etc and good views of high living.

“whats the big deal it's a river?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

don't understand the good reviews it's a dirty river that's normally mud brown ...not really any spectacular views that you couldn't get from any other area.

it's nice to have the river don't get me wrong but it's not anything special and brisbane haven't utilised it as much as other big cities like sydney for example

“A river to return to.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Moving about Brisbane is easy and exciting. This city comes close to the feeling of being in Hong Kong; in temperature, boundless energy and so much to see and do. Of course, seeing the Brisbane river is a must. It is right in the middle of Brisbane, has wonderful boat traffic and the only inner city beach in Australia on it's shores located on the South Bank. I have only arrived and find this city and its river facinating. Here is a combination that works; it's beautiful, functional and attracts visitors like bees to honey. On a sunny day, with the brilliant blue sky above, the water is stunning, as is wanting to go for a swim. Grab an icecream in a cone, a cool, refreshing ice tea or coffee and wander along its banks. Have someone special with you and the moment will be complete. Take your time and when dusk comes, have a meal from one of the many eateries available in the Queen Street mall area. You will be spoilt for choice. Simply wonderful.

“River Cruise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

I enjoyed the river cruises very much. It's the best way to see the waterfront suburbs. I travelled on city cat and MirimarII respectively.
